For me ts the perfect story. I usually watch this stories thinking of them as films. Why? because through my eyes this is pure art. See i am a writer, and for me the drama is more important than action and i value true life stories, or stories that depict life in its purest must cruelest yet must adorable way. all i can say is that i prefer this kind of anime over any animated story made in Hollywood and more than any drama live action movie made i holly wood in the end yes i am an otaku in is sincerest way lol

Loving this show, Rin is the cutest ever!!

Disappointing that it's only 11 episodes, I hope they make another season.
Though I think the manga is only 9 volumes so they might use up a lot of that material in this season.

Daikichi is pure Beast-mode! I love subtle badassery!

Ganbare Daikichi!!

大吉(だいきち、Daikichi) means "great luck".

Also, 「りん」(Rin) sounds like 竜胆(りんどう、rindou, bellflower)。

I love the mellow feeling of the anime! It has an amazing plot, which will keep you watching! I like Rin's voice. It's like hearing a lullaby.

It somehow touches your heart. It gives the sense of family and what it is to be a parent.

I sat down to watch one ep and ended up burning through all four currently out. Now waiting for ep 5. Such a beautiful and touching series. The style of Rin's clothing seem to be close to styles from the 60s/70s and seems to carry over into the opening and closing as well.

Such a great series. It's a shame it will be so short.

the moment I had seen the title of the anime, I had already decided I wanted to watch it. & when I saw the preview, I fell in love even more. I had never heard of it before, just a feeling I needed to add this to my list & I'm glad I did. (it has become my number 1 favorite of this summers anime season) ^^

I am loving this show. I was looking for the manga for a while, but now that the show is out I don't think I am even going to read it.

I read the manga and now I hate it. Can't enjoy the anime because of it, so good in the beginning but goes down the hill at the end.

Considering I am a parent of 2, this anime is really a hit home for me. Also, I guess I can enjoy the adult humor with kids aspect more than the norm. I think it is very cute and heart warming. I enjoy it.

You're a writer!? From your comment I can understand from where you're going at. :D
Also, what kind of helpful tips can you give a young writer, such as myself on how to write a well written story.

When I watch this show I can't help but compare it to Yotsuba! They are similar in some respects, but Yotsuba! is more lighthearted. I like to see this different side of being a single parent raising a child.
