I think its ok to complain but then if you just stop there and dont do anything about it especially if you can do something about it then there'e the problem.

I agree that life is good though sometimes shit does happen.

I have friends who's entire lives seem to be chocked with bad luck. I don't really feel that their moaning about it is annoying, I just kinda talk to them and see what I can do.

Venting helps with the healing process. It's therapy.

If life gives you lemons, burn life's house down with lemons.

People complain about complainers who also complain about other people complaining who are likely complaining about other people complaining about someone who just complained.

Just look at Naruto.

Life is hard. Then you die. Then they throw dirt in your face. Then the worms eat you. Be grateful it happens in that order.

Would you believe people have actually studied this?

Human beings learn to complain in early childhood. Really, in infancy. It's called crying, and we quickly graduate to pouting, pulling a face, tantruming, and so on. This is the origin of complaining behavior, before we have the vocabulary to engage in formal complaining. Complaining is one tactic that natal humans use to get their caregivers to give them something- being cute is another. Either one, if the infant is successful, motivates the caregiver to meet the infant's needs.

So, what's the basis for complaining? Feeling powerless to change your circumstances. It's actually irrelevant WHAT the external circumstances are, so the whole "calm down, some people live in Rwanda" argument is pointless. It's the INTERNAL circumstances of feeling incapable of changing one's state that causes complaining, because we learned- and thank god we did- that complaining will give us our caregiver's attention. We'd probably have starved to death long before we were walking if we didn't.

So why do some people complain, and some don't? It's just like all other basic categories of human behavior, reinforcement and punishment. For people to choose complaining as a habit, there must exist a previous trend of that behavior being reinforced- ie., that person's parents/peers/siblings/caregivers corrected the situation for them or gave them attention. Not everyone is a habitual complainer- we wouldn't individually try doing it if we didn't have some internal evidence that it served us any purpose. That's useful to remember if someone's complaining annoys you- they got it from somewhere, and at least part of their intentions are to accomplish something with it, not just annoy the piss out of you.

So, if you hate complainers, bear that in mind if you want to try to help reduce the behavior, and help them get themselves in a situation where they DON'T feel powerless. If you're a complainer, then, realize your complaining stems from powerlessness, and see what you can do to shit or get off the pot. Me, I tend to ignore people who bitch too much. I like to get shit done. But everyone's powerless about something. If I couldn't bitch about the government and my culture and the way it frustrates and scares me, I'd probably burst. Fortunately, I have friends to comiserate with.

THe person clearly doesen't understand that life is hard for people who live in different countries. He has to be american or scandinavian since there is easier compared to countries wehere rages war and disaster. Life is not hard its how you make it, yes that true but try it when theres bomb flying inside your house. Thou america and scandinavia has more problems for inner mind. This is conclusion i have at the moment it would take hours for me to type every detail i have in my mind but this is something to talk to. god bless.

Life is what you make it, complaining to other people is no good. They can't do anything, they are not you.
