Will we ever see more anime released in the cinema in the future?

I'm from the U.K and we do get some anime films here however they are screened in very limited cinema's across the country which is what I don't like at the moment I really would love it if we could see more variety of anime films being shown on the big screen and for it most importantly to be available in most places.

That's actually the case in the United States as well. I think a few Ghibli movies, and stuff like Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! have gotten wide releases.

There hasn't been much for 2D animation theatrical releases in the United States for years (with I believe the sole exception of The Princess and the Frog). If the anime was one of the ones that was 3D (e.g., Appleseed Saga: Ex Machina, Vexile), I think it would be more likely to find a wide release in the states.
