Ever feel Invisible?
Posted 7/23/11
Have you ever felt like you were literally invisible to people around you?
Why do people exclude others when around certain people? I feel its pathetic.

I remember my friend Olivia, didn't have many friends in her film class,
she told me she sat in the corner by herself, and actually screamed at people

AM I FUCKING INVISIBLE?

No one replied o.O
I guess her social skills kind of sucked alittle but seriously, why can't people just be nice?

I have felt not real before. Sometimes everything feels like a dream.

"cellophane, Mr. Cellophane, shoulda been my name. Mr. Cellophane, cause you can look right through me, walk right by me and never know I'm there" sorry had to do it, if unfamiliar with the lyrics refer to Chicago the musical (now a major motion picture ). In fact I nominate it as the official theme song of this post.

Oh and I'm not making fun, while I was never unpopular in highschool I did sometimes feel like I was outside the circle looking in. I was even ignored by my group of friends one day out of the blue but I just dropped them and made new ones. Truthfully the whole experience probably has made me the loud blunt person I am.

Yeah. :/ I'd sometimes comment or ask a question about something to my friends and they would keep talking, so I just end up sitting there most of the time.

Ah I hate when everyone talks at once... and then you are instantly excluded because your voice is too soft/low

Definitely, and especially to strangers. It's like if you ever try to talk to someone at the mall, they'd think your weird and this should never happen . Also, listen to Kid Cudi's song "GHOST!!" because it's basically talking about stuff like this . "But I wanna know one thing.....when did I become a ghost?"

Only when I am interrupted in middle of saying something. It especially irks me if I am more than a single word in, and the other person just interjects what they "have" to say and keep talking like I had never said anything to start.

I'm also pissed when I start a story about myself that someone else knows, and then they interrupt by pretending to reminisce and then tell it. Or they simply interject and tell it in my place.

The part that I hate the most is that they always pick up their voice a couple notch above mine in order to mute my voice out as they interrupt. This makes it intentional, rude, and worthy of my criticism on my part. There is just no need for such rudeness on conversations about simple matters. It really shows how important talking, and speaking more "words" means to them. Even at the cost of making others miserable. As if it is a critical component to living. A status boost? An increase in reputation? With WHOM, MY PARENTS??

I throw politeness out the window if nobody else can remain civil. And I criticize heavily if it's something that is done often. Usually to the point of destroying the conversation all together in order to make a point. If you aren't drunk, or at a party. Then there's no excuse for talking over somebody abruptly and not realizing your interruption and stopping.

I actually feel like I'm too visible. Sometimes I wanna pick my nose but damn everytime I try someone looks at me.

Good for you But I got guts and just pick my nose anyway. Everyone just stares.

I'm more invisible than i thought but i was just too paranoid to realize that .

I can be pretty sneaky if I want to.

Me being 'invisible' is natural, I have light steps and I don't make that much noise. I don't care for people and I try to avoid them outright if I can. Probably bothers alot of people to feel invisible. I don't mind feeling invisible, I just don't want to feel unwanted. /woobie moment.
