As Aimidi had stated, it was serialized in a shonen magazine.

ranma 1/2 is a pretty good romantic comedy manga

One good way to find series by multiple is by using Baka-Updates' advanced search. Go to http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?act=genresearch , and pick categories to include and exclude.
Hmm, no mention of Maison Ikkoku yet. Technically, it's not for the shounen demographic... it was the only Rumiko Takahashi series that was serialized in a seinen magazine. Still, it's one of my favorites. The official translation from Viz was last reissued in the mid-2000s. |

Someone already mentioned Inuyasha. It's a shounen with romance, although it's crazy long. Also try Full Metal Panic and Full Metal Panic Sigma. Not sure that FMP is licensed though. Pandora Hearts is awesome but I wouldn't necessary consider it romance, although it has romance elements.
The shojo genre does have a number of action/romances. I personally prefer those over the shounen ones just because of fanservice. I don't mind sex and nudity but constant crotch shots get old really quick. Of course I'm a woman so jiggly boobs and short skirts do nothing for me.
