both of these series are facile. their popularity is more indicative of an audience reluctant to delve into the challenges and complexities of more sophisticated storytelling than of the merits of the series themselves (which are passing and intermittent, at best).

I actually don't think Ao No Exorcist will be that popular but you never know. Bleach is dying to me I am so disappointed in Tite Kubo the flare isn't the same anymore. It used to be my favorite anime ever but now not so much.

Yea Bleach kind of lost itself after the rescue rukia from soul society arc.

Ao no Exorcist could have been a really good series, but so far it's pretty unimpressive. I don't think it will get any more episodes past the 25 it's supposed to.

Too early to judge. Ao no Exorcist is set to only have 25 episodes. Using 5 episodes or more on a single fight is a waste. Maybe if it gets just as popular as Bleach was, you could expect 100+ episodes. If it does, expect fillers, 5-episode fights and much more crap.

Gonna have to agree there. If there's alot of positive review out of Blue Excorcist then the producers will attempt to extend the episodes in order to recieve more ratings. And, I dont know too much about Aniplex, but they might try to break a record like DBZ/Bleach/One Piece. Atleast, their own personal record.

I really like Bleach and Blue Exorcist and just because I like those two doesn't mean I'm not allowed to like more serious titles and vice versa.

Bleach has been around waaay longer and has had a much bigger impact on the anime community than Blue Exorcist has so far. It's way too early to try to assume one will do better than the other, though topping Bleach's popularity is a really big feat. Just because Blue Exorcist is getting a better rating right now means nothing, that doesn't mean it's more popular, that just means it's getting attention.

But that doesn't change the fact that Bleach does have those and Ao no Exorcist doesn't at this moment in time. While the early days of Bleach were insanely epic, we are in season 14 sooooo, it ain't the early days anymore.

Personally I enjoy both series.

Another possible reason that Ao no Excorsist might come out on top, is if Bleach started dragging too much to the point that fans start leaving it...

Umm true. But all I'm saying is when Bleach started out it was much much popular than AnE is now. So you can't just leave Bleach out like that when you know AnE is just starting.

It's already dragging. Have you been reading the manga? I personally think it should've ended after Aizen's defeat.

Bleach is still on a filler arc i don't know about other people but i usually just stop watching during filler arcs so that could drop popularity.

Lol I left the anime version of Bleach right after the save Rukia arc when something happened that didn't match the manga. Thinking back it probably was just a filler arc, but I didn't have the patience for it. Manga wise I've basically lost interest when I read some BS like Ichigo losing his powers and gaining new ones? And all the old characters I loved vanished (at least for now) leaving me with no interest.

I've read a couple of chapters of AnE , but it didn't seem that exciting. Maybe I should try picking it up again.

Either way I highly doubt it's overall more popular than Bleach...
