Layle, from Crystal Bearers.
I chose him because he was the only character I could think of in the current gen of gaming ( or Final Fantasy, to be more precise. ) that wasn't a completely blank slate or downright stupid jackass d-bag
I'm looking at you.
Layle had a real suave about him, almost to a James Bond extent, and it just felt fitting and real for his kinda personality, being the smooth, smart-ass punk that he is. But he was the kinda punk you rooted for; he wasn't an ass for the sake of being an ass, and when the going got rough, he switches his gears to solve the situation; that helped him better capture a smart character, not a stupid, vapid waste of space like--
Ahh DAMMIT!
...my point is that Layle appealed to me for not being the typical FF character you see nowadays. Nice change of pace, Layle is. Kudos, Crystal Bearer.
