Depending on how many years you've read manga, have you changed your type of manga's to read? I have. When I first started to read manga's I used read nothing but Shoujo's. Now I'm getting kind of bored with that genre. I've read so many of those type that I can tell how the story will develop and how the main character will end up with.So I moved on to action WITH romance lol. I find that more entertaining now. Although one thing that hasn't changed is that I still stay away from the ecchi stuff :b

I started with a bit of shojo and more shounen. Fruits Basket, Nana, Tsubasa, Bleach...now I'm all into shounen. I don't know, probably I'm more into the action than the romance. Its more exciting and fast paced in my opinion. Yeah and ecchi stuff is a turn off. I mean I quit reading Fairy Tail cause it was a bit too much there (well fan service...)

Used to like moe, shoujo, magical girl stuff, like Fruits Basket and Tokyo Mew Mew, though I still liked seinen. Now I'm mostly into shounen. I don't really like those kawaii slice of lifes anymore; Strawberry Marshmellow, K-ON, and Lucky Star now bore me, but Azumanga Daioh will always be a classic, and I'm probably going to see YuruYuri for the hell of it. I used to like shounen-ai, but now it pretty much bores me too, it's all yaoi now.

I started with shoujo then moved on to shounen, then now YAOI,but I still read alot of shounen, but comapared to yaoi it's nothing
I used to think the stuff I read was hardcore, but now,it's all fluff and clouds compared to the yaoi I read now,I think yaoi will stay with me,shoujo just bored me,and the girls got annoying, but girls like Alice in Alice in the country of hearts are fine with me |

Used to like Shonen and Shojo (u know like Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura) genre... But then I started to read senien, horror, comedy, harem, and hentai of all sorts (except beastality, ntr, and guro)... Adventure genre kinda lost it's appeal to me

Haven't really moved from one genre to another. I am pretty much all consuming if my requirements gets filled. Which is good art/drawing, well made characers, a good story/plot - though the story/plot can be down prioritized if the art and characters are good enough.
I've tried reading yaoi, but it's just pointless - as implied by the meaning of the word yaoi. Seems like the exact same things happen to the exact same character stereotypes. I've been recommended one series that was supposed to be actually good, but I've yet to check it out. Most of the thing I end up avoiding shoujo and such, because I just don't like the drawing style many of them have. |

I read all genre's. If it's interesting I'll read it.

I've not read a great deal of manga in my lifetime. I don't care for the actual genre, as long as it's aimed at mature audiences.

I've never really ruled out something based on genre alone, though my preference has definitely shifted. About, oh, 13 years ago, I was mostly reading shounen and some hentai, but that's partly because that's most of what was out there in English. (This predates the Tokyopop boom, for perspective.) But things shifted me more toward shoujo and josei, and eventually to BL, which is where my current preference lies. Though I have to say slice-of-life and 4-koma have been gaining my interest lately...

Mine stayed pretty much the same
![]() romance & comedy, I also dont like the echi, its too corny & not my style, so i stay away from those a long with the tooo much drama i hate when on of the characters is sooo evil it makes me mad that i have to stop reading the manga & find a new one. I want to read action manga but it feels like i cant get into it like the action isnt really action but still action since they are just pictures ![]() |
