I'm amazed that sort of shit is allowed to happen in America. It's as if we've travelled back to the industrial revolution.

"Just like the title says, Cedar Point is a steaming pile of poo poo company"

Yeah. Whatever point they are trying to make is buried deep inside ramblings about poo, and an essay about poo doesn't grab my attention. I'll wait for the cliffnotes version.

The poo poo is only mentioned once. If you've ever read stories about the old working conditions that forced many Americans into forming labour unions, this is pretty much a modern version. So I guess this place is an amusement park in Ohio, and it advertises itself to be a nice, cool, fun place to work, and it provides cheap housing for employees. The place treats its employees like robots, provides terrible health care, and pays piss-low wages to employees. In Ohio, the minimum wage is like $5 an hour, too. This place, for whatever reason, attract a lot of foreigners coming to America in hopes of scoring big; the managers treat these people like total garbage. They make them work the longest hours, give them the lowest wages, and take all the company's shit out on them. And, for whatever reason, a lot of the employee's houses can't have air conditioning, which is serious in Ohio. That's a pretty basic breakdown. Pure, old fashioned, all-American, black comedy.

Agreed. I have read the first five or six paragraphs, and then I suddenly scrolled down and notice the length and then stopped reading.

But from what I've read, the person who wrote it put in a lot of thoughts and effort, so It did get my attention of how Cedar Point is. I've never been to there or even worked there before so I don't know the extent of the condition.

I'm not really surprised that this kind of BS is happening. It's just another thing that a lot of people simply don't think about and ignore.

Just because the amusement park is fun doesn't mean that the company behind it is corrupt.

While that's often the case, my friend was actually suggesting hitting up cedar point sometime this summer when he's done with work but I'm having second thoughts about that. I'd feel guilty having fun at an amusement park when the employees are suffering. Yes, I am just one person and that won't leave a dent in the pockets of the owners but still.

Supposedly, Cedar Fair, the parent company, also owns Kings Dominion, which is the in-state amusement park of choice for me and my friends. I don't know if Cedar Fair is responsible for what goes on at CP and if the employees at KD are in a similar situation but it's also making me think twice about going there too.
