Well, there was a case a few years back where coppers went to a place in Washington State (probably near Forks, they into beastality with wolves there) and found evidence of a group of people engaging in sexual activity with horses, there was videos and everything. So the coppers did what they should do and arrested everyone and then released them as there was no law against it (in fact, in the US some states have ruled it unconstitutional to make having sex with animals a crime.....)
Then you got the guy who had sex with a dead deer, he argued that as it was dead it was no longer a deer, oh dear....

I would say that he deserved what he got and more. The poor rabbit must have been distressed. I tend to think that people who are capable of being that cruel to animals aren't all that far from doing similar things to humans (I think I read somewhere that a lot of killers started off killing animals?)
Just a shame it didn't manage to turn around and give him a nasty bite.
