Seriously, what's with the lack of dramas??? I got the All-Access Membership believing that drama fans would be treated the same as anime fans. Guess that's no longer the case since dramas are barely added to the site. I feel like I've been lied to.

I feel like I've been lied to. they seem to be nice~ market here and cr seems to be making more money off of anime.. but I am not sure, then again they removed 4 anime series 2 weeks ago but they are funimations site now due that funi goes for a master licensing but i don't know if those series are being brought over here for dvd/bluray or not or if the stream licnese is just ran out. |

Crunchyroll:
This time you've actually told us you were removing some of the dramas, and gave us warning. In the past, they just suddenly disappeared. I have seen a pattern, though: Some dramas were pulled from the site and somehow came back after you announced a separate drama membership. Then last year some Tai Seng properties disappeared from the site. Shortly after that happened, you announced the separate pay wall run by CR to view Tai Seng's material. Now some Seoul Broadcasting System properties are being pulled. What with the past history of how you treat dramas, are these titles really losing their licenses, or are they going to be moved to yet another separate membership/pay wall like you have done in the past? P. S.: I am taking bets among my friends to see if someone from Crunchyroll actually will even respond to this. I have asked similar questions in the past about them moving properties around that were once part of one membership into another membership & nobody ever seems to have the guts to reply. Additional Edit: I also would like to see just what CR plans for the future of the drama membership. Others have mentioned that dramas are being released far, far less than it used to be. Will it continue to slide, where we have to wait a month (or two) for each new update, or are there actual plans to address this issue? |

why are some of these still for Drama subscription only? If you're going to take them off the site anyways, why not take off the restrictions so anyone can watch them before they are gone?

I only see two historical dramas here, and I already finished the gender-bender Painter of the Wind, about the young painter who has to dress as and pretend to be a boy to be able to learn painting at the palace painting academy.
And I think I sampled the other one, but who knows ... now that its going away, I might watch it. I agree that it would be nice if they could open up Painter of the Wind for free members ~ if they did, I could blog about it to hopefully get it a few more views before it is taken down ~ especially since it is a 20 episode series rather than the real marathon series. unklevi wrote: So what new dramas will be replacing them?
