What good mecha fighting games are there for the PS3? They can be Japan only or released in America and/or Europe since the PS3 is region free for games.

Here In the states.... Eh I don't really know... do some research on some Japanese games due in part they are on the same region as us so you can import them.. Hmm I would say maybe some of the gundam games but I don't know.

Anyway;
Armored Core 4 Answer is good. You'll probably be better waiting for ACV though.
Another Century's Episode R gets a lot of flack (NOT SKIP MOVIE!) but it's rather enjoyable. It's a crossover title by Banpresto. It's got Code Geass, King Gainer, Gundam Seed Destiny, Gundam Crossbone, Zeta Gundam, Full Metal Panic, Super Dimensional Orguss and Macross Frontier and Macross Plus. I think it's got a mild of originals too.
SRW OGs2 is a strategy RPG featuring that's coming out. (Soon...Terada said it's TBA now.)
Mobile Suit Gundam Battlefield Record UC 0081 is a must.
That's all I can think of at the moment.
