Watch it, boo. The first few episodes bored me too. But it'll get better I promise.
Baccano! >>> Baccano! OVA >> Durarara!!, tbh.

Lol yes I now see that. Pretty sad because it's a great show and no one gives it a chance. Probably because the first few episodes (to me) are kind of dull, but at episode 3 or 4 you get used to how the story is told and get interested in the plot since. And I guess since it's not a linear story it people get confused and quit...

I found Durarara to be more complex than Baccano, by far. Not to say it's better because of that but Durarara got hard to keep track of everything after 26 episodes. Honestly though, I think that added to it's charm because there was a shit ton of stuff happening and that made it more enigmatic. Definitely need to re-watch Durarara a second time. I liked Baccano quite a bit too because it didn't stray too much from the plot of the main characters. Sure, there was a lot going on too, but the length of series kept it nice and clean, not literally mind you, because it was pretty gory at times which made it awesome.

Your opinion differs from mine but I ain't mad. Both confused me at first anyway lol. And yea I think Baccano was awesome partly because of the gore. I think it was harder for me to keep track of Baccano because I watched it really slowly and watched Durarara in like a week but whatever. I guess it was just easier for me...

I liked Baccano! quite a bit more. It was more adult aside from the comic relief of Isaac and Miria, which I liked just as much as everyone else. Also, Durarara!! lost points for having a half-assed ending. There was a lot of things developing, and we never found out what was going to happen. It was worse than your averaged open-ended ending where there's something left to wonder about. It felt like they got to 26 episodes without realizing it and just stopped. I'm not sure, but I would guess that there was significantly more material in the light novels.
