Well, it really depends on me, because if the person whom I was with was for a while and I really loved him/her, then it'll take a while.

Unless he's an asscunt.

Everyone's different, some get over a relationship over a matter of days, some take years. For me, it's ~2 months for a serious relationship; anything less is rebound territory, and anything more is unreasonably long.

It just seems cold if someone could get over a, say, 2 year relationship in a matter of days... It's easier to get over a relationship if you keep yourself busy. Just keep doing all the things you normally did when you were single, and then do all the things you always wanted to do. It's also easier if you happen to be the one who dumped the other.

Some people find rebounding makes things easier, but that tends to work out better for women than men and it's at someone else's expense. However, I think that most of the time it makes things worse.
