Warning: Spoilers – don't click if you haven't watched Kamisama Dolls 7.

----edit---
And for those of you who agree with me: Which do think the attitude I'm complaining about is? Is it Sexism or Shallowness?

----edit again---

For myself I think it's a bit of both. I think the more strongly worded and more verbose opinions that portray Senou in a negative light come from a deep seated sexism that is quick to define anything a girl does that they don't like as the actions of a 'slut' or 'bitch'. and the 'Hur HUR Hur wut a Slut" comments are just unthinkingly shallow.

The "terrors" of the 2D is too much for those mentioned CR users... I can't wait for them to experience the horrors of reality. To be honest, don't argue with these people, I've seen many from various discussions of Rumbling Hearts and other shows with similar themes done by people who called said characters "sluts" because they seduce a male. This is how their mentality will work, they're not going to be more open-minded - A somewhat hypocritical comment considering I'm not well open-minded towards yaoi and other stuff.

I'll post more later after I catch up on episodes and after a good night sleep as I've drank too much beer for me to handle.

I don't hate her I mean for crying out loud she was the reason Aki was actually smiling and laughing while playing with a dog While the village pretty much labeled him an outcast and ignored him. When I saw those comments i was like what the heck? Yes she may have faults like:

but it doesn't mean she's a slut. I didn't realize being bullied by a jerk nonstop and when she cried for help she didn't really get any she was told to behave herself automatically makes you a slut. In my Opinion people judge too quickly. Okay I'm done going on my little rant so don't hate me XD

I don't think she deserved what happened to her but I don't think she was the most respectable woman either. She probably should have quit being a teacher after the incident with her student's dad as she obviously can't keep her feelings in control. Aside from firing her from being a teacher the village's and especially Atsushi's treatment of her was wrong and I think Atsushi and his gang got what they deserved in the end.

that's great. That explains why the authors wrote her fate they way they did. Similar to the old horror movie axiom that the virgin never get's killed.

but it doesn't explain the English language comments posted to the episode page here on Crunchyroll. Nor does it help define weather those comments are sexism or shallowness. Though I suppose we could say that Slant from the Anime source is a vote for sexism?

I'm not sure I agree with you.

let me be specific: I DO agree with about Atsushi being in the wrong and frankly I don't shed any tears over his death (mind you I have thing against bullies)

I also AGREE that she was, in your words, "(Not)the most respectable woman". However, for me it was her relations with Aki that crossed the line.

I DISAGREE that her actions in the back story merited her expulsion or retirement from teaching. Her 'obvious' failure to control her emotions was not so obvious to me. I think that once it became an incident with a kid in the hospital and their affair quite public, It was understandable that she had really pitiful job prospects. Understanding is not the same as agreeing that it represents justice or moral rectitude however, I also believe that compared to many people in a number of professions (including teachers) her principal crime was getting caught.

hmm some people here might be trolling but to be honest I don't care if a character has sex or not, it's not my business. this only seems to upset the otaku that want a pure 2d waifu but getting personal feelings aside Japan is growing more open to it I suppose but being a single mother or having sex before marriage for woman anyways is just really looked down upon, it's not something that can go away easy with a nation that still has arranged marriages.

Okay I'll give this a whirl I think its sexism because if the teacher was a male and he had sex with a female student who would be blamed? the student right? cuz she would be considered a slut...........
