The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Absolutely, hands down, without question the single worst anime I have ever seen in my life. Poorly written, next to no character development (and the most grating and unlikable main character in the history of entertainment... no redeeming qualities, no positive changes in the end... what was the point?), worst of all: an interesting premise that goes absolutely nowhere.

Not to mention a bad joke of a second season that was written to be nothing more than a middle finger. It has been documented that they intended on stopping after one, just a quick one-and-done anime based on the manga, but they had to come up with more to fill the block schedule for broadcasting purposes and tacked on one of the most shameless, pointless seasons of any anime ever. I had never been so insulted by a show in my entire life as I was when I was trying to sit through that last season... I made it through only to see if it was going anywhere. Big surprise: it didn't. Not even a little bit.

100% pure garbage. So bad, it inspired an avatar!

Vampire Knight. I know it's popular with young girls, and that's completely understandable because It's basically an anime version of Twilight without the werewolves. And I'm not a fan of Twilight at all (I only watched it to drool over Taylor Lautner). I watched the first few episodes of VK when it began to air on TV, it started off good (e.g. Zero had his shirt off already within the first episode. Talk about fan service!) but then it started to drag on a bit. Yuuki is annoying and useless, not to mention her English dub voice is awful (I just don't like Mela Lee at all... It's nothing personal, her voice is just not suited for anime) and she is also very stupid. The other characters... well meh. I liked Zero and his twin Ichiru because they are voiced by the amazing Vic Mignogna, but that was it. Zeros personality made me think of Edward Cullen so much that I couldn't bare it.

Overall I just don't like Vampire Knight, but I'm not gonna shout that out to the whole world because I have a lot of friends that love it. And I don't want to be a bitch about it haha. Anyway, here's a picture of it for those who may want a little look.

I have to disagree with you Hazelburr. I personally think The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is one of the best and intriguing anime's. Even though the second season didn't do as good, but the Film was actually good. But I can't change yours or anyone's opinions.

I have to say Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece are some of the worst anime there are.

To Hazelburr,
You have a strong point, but I like The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, I think it's interesting and Kyon is easy to relate to. Not to mention Yuki Nagato is absolutely adorable. BUT I'm not replying to start a debate of any sort haha, everyone has their own opinions! I just wanted to add in that at least it's not as pointless as Lucky Star~!
(Which has no plot what-so-ever haha)

hahaha, I understand what you mean. When Durarara!! ended I was like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!" due to all of the unanswered questions it left behind. I swear, if they don't make another season I will make one myself.

I forgot to add Angel Beats. Its my Favorite Anime, but the fact that they only had 13 episodes was kinda sad, even though it had everything: Comedy, Action, Romance( So to speak ) and it had Tachibana Kanada :D. I don't understand how an anime could have over 200 episodes and still have a plot and things the characters need to do.

It will be 8-bit, poorly drawn and voiced by yours truly. Seriously something to look forward to~!

Actually, I agree with you completely. I liked Kyon a lot, and the show most certainly was interesting... I guess that's why I was so disappointed that they didn't do more with the premise.

MissKanraSan wrote: Not to mention Yuki Nagato is absolutely adorable.

Can't argue with that! She was my favorite female character for sure.

MissKanraSan wrote: I just wanted to add in that at least it's not as pointless as Lucky Star~!

Agree again! lol

Oh and if you always respond so kindly when you disagree with someone, I don't think you will have to worry about starting many heated debates. I realize that a lot of people like this show, so hopefully I can agree to disagree with those folks. There were some things to like in it, I just got caught up in the tidal wave of negativity... something that tends to happen when I talk about this show.

There is a rumor that Key are working on a visual novel because a lot of the ideas weren't put in the anime or light novel. Great anime with great characters.

As for my least favorite anime, I have to go with Canvas Motif Of Sepia
