I tried to read at work once but people kept coming over and asking me what it was. When you only manage to read half a page in ten minutes you know you're in trouble. I just gave up.

Yeah I do. I'm lucky to go to a school that has a pretty wide selection of manga and I read on my ipod at school during lunch sometimes when I don't feel like dealing with people.

Yes, when I'm bussing. But only when I'm sure that it's 100% safe for anyone to read over my shoulder (don't want to scar the little kiddies). And there don't seem to be many of those, at least by my definition of "Safe for Public."

Yes. I read manga when I'm on lunch break at my job. Obviously, I'm careful about what I bring in, but I don't see a problem with reading manga in public/at work (provided you use common sense of course). I work in a law office and read/eat lunch in the law library and am left alone (for the most part), but I wouldn't dare bring something to work that was too ecchi. I keep those at home.

I've only just realised this, but I never read manga (or books) outside the comfort of my own home. I don't know why. I don't think it's because I'm uncomfortable with it; I always read any new books on the way home after I've bought them. I think it's just habit, it's automatic for me to leave them at home where I won't loose them. I should start taking them with me more when I go out. (:

I used to bring manga ALLL the time to read on my break at work.. sometimes just so I didn't have to talk to some of my co-workers lol and others cause I was too addicted. My lunch breaks were short though, and sometimes I'd only get like 5 min to read, so it wasn't the best of situations but I always brought it just in case.
I always bring a current manga with me anywhere if I think I maybe waiting for someone or something
