What are you talking about? Why cook when you can just eat everything raw? Best way of being a true person.

I like to cook. I had to learn cooking since my parents aren't home most of the time.

I love cooking as well! My biggest catastrophe had to be when I was baking a cake from scratch and didn't add baking powder. It stayed flat, I had to bake another one.

Probably my biggest achievement in cooking was when I was seven and made my dad his dinner when he got home. I was so proud of myself at the time because my dad being a chef complemented my pasta. Although he probably went easy on me.

At the moment I cook all my meals with both my parents working, so I enjoy it.

I make exceptional porridge when I don't burn it.

Otherwise I have my moments of adventure with foods. Lucky for me I can't always follow instructions on the first go so I usually end up with an interesting diversion from the recipe. Sometimes it's good & sometimes it's self-forced fed.

I have never been successfully in making porridge. At all. I always burn it. Same with eggs. They're always bunt or over cooked =___=;
I make great chicken, turkey, roast, and fish though :]

Ooooh. Ooooh. I have tips!

You know how they say add this amount of water or skim milk. Add a cup more. I find it best when I split it between half water and half whole milk. I'm assuming the watery aspect on the boil better cooks and softens the porridge more so than plain old milk.

Microwave is simple enough. Follow the instructions to cook it for such and such minutes and then pull it out and stir. Cook it for blah blah minutes and then check on it. Cook for a further such and such minutes to your tastes.

Now... the stove top method. You absolutely must stay near it until it begins to boil. Stir madam! Stir! If you're an impatient one then put an alarm on for a few minutes. Coming back to it put the heat on low and then set an alarm for sometime.

Commercials or breaks in conversations can be used as a queue to stir madam! Stir!

Stir madam, every once in a while until you wait for it to get ready. Somewhere you may feel like it requires more milk. Do it madam! Do it! For me a good porridge isn't groggy and not milky but closer to it.

Finally wait for five minutes and then add a minimum amount of raw sugar or any other sugar. Keep adding lesser to taste. More milk is welcome.

Head my advice as I make splendiferous porridge fit for a king.

I love cooking! My specialties are mashed potato, ratatouille and stir-fried noodles. I can also cook a perfect-looking sunny side-up egg. Sadly, my family won't let me cook 'cause I've been told that I'm the slowest cook in the world and that they'll starve to death first before I finish. T_T Whenever they let me cook something though, it always turns out good and they love it.

I love cooking! The one up side of living in a city devoid of decent women is that you have time for a 1000 god forsaken hobbies. Bitterness (pun intended) aside, I generally do Christmas dinner my self every year, and I cook new things every chance I get. The only thing I'm not really decent at is baking, but I'm getting better.

Might as well not care to live because the microwave is evil.

^ This x infinity.

I pre-apologized to someone yesterday when they asked to use my microwave because I haven't opened it in years, so if it's disgusting inside, that's the husband's gig.

I'm ashamed of myself for not learning how to cook. I know how to bake cakes, cupcakes and cookies cause I love sweet stuffs. However, to cook dishes that involves fishes, chicken, beef, pork and a lot of vegetables cutting? I think I should pass. Too lazy to work on all those things. Since I'm Asian, I cannot live without rice in our table. So I'm assigned to cook rice and I know how to make FRIED RICE. LOL. Don't expect anything else.

I like to cook. Hell, I LOVE to cook. And I am a good cook (according to my family, ha-ha). The proof is in the body, LOL.
But seriously, I've been cooking since I was 12. I got the kitchen assignment since then.
My only wish is that I knew how to bake.

I enjoy cooking, though I rarely have time to do it anymore. I think the last dish I really put some love into was a mushroom risotto.
