I can cook very well, but I'd love to learn plating. It would make my dinners even more interesting.

My puff pastry I was making exploded in my oven once, I never touched anything puff pastry related ever again.
Having said that, I am a terrible cook. I'll make a terrible housewife one day haha~

That's happened to me with potatoes but never puff pastry. I can just imagine the mess!

It was my fault though, I forgot to poke holes into my pastry. I can imagine the mess an exploded potato would cause lol.

Cooking is one of my greatest pleasures. I love cooking more than I love eating. There are times when I cook just because I want to cook, although tasting the finished product is also a great high point.

I don't have a specific masterpiece but there are several that stand out above the rest. Fresh tomato spaghetti with chicken, daifuku mostly from scratch and chicken udon soup are among the most difficult yet deliciously worth it. There's also a beef curry that I made with a myriad of vegetables, a good mix of spices and Anaheim peppers, Serrano peppers and birds eye chili. Not the most difficult dish I made but arguably the most delicious.

As for my greatest failure, I burnt some tuna belly on the grill. I totally forgot about it and given a few more minutes, I could've used it to fuel the grill.

That is truly a tragedy of epic proportions.

I like to cook since I like to eat.

The best thing I made would be a big pot of beef curry made with spices I mixed myself. That or a hot pot that used a broth that took me half a day of simmering to make.

My worst thing would be the time I was making a dish that called for short-grain sticky rice but I inadvertently used regular rice instead. Texture came out all wrong and it was horrible.

I LOVE to cook, my best dish is Tuscan chicken, also it being my favourite. My worst mishap in the kitchen was setting some pancakes on fire by accident.

My guarantee success at any dinner would be my green bean casserole, everyone seems to love every time.

My favorite thing to cook would have to be caramelized frog legs.

My greatest creation was a sandwich I invented when I came home from a party. It has toasted potato bread, a sauce made from over 7 ingredients, including mayo, hoisen sauce and honey, black forest smoked turkey, gouda cheese, spaghetti noodles(no sauce), a sunny-side up egg, crispy strips of bacon and romaine lettuce.

It's not for everyone, I know. But I don't care, because I love it.

It goes great with a bit of grilled haloumi, topped with a slice of tomato and a leaf of basil.

I love to cook myself. If I have time to make breakfast, I love making some kind of veggie (mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, etc) scrambled eggs with cheese. Or a giant veggie egg omelet w/cheese. ^__^
I wouldn't call it a masterpiece, but my favorite dish that I've made was a cuban one called Picadillo. Although instead of beef, I like to use drained tuna and add some Edmundo Vino Seco Cooking Wine: http://latinfood.about.com/od/cuba/r/beefpicadillo.htm
Cuban cooking is really awesome to say the least.

Lol, that's hilarious. Usually, whenever I make pancakes, I do a horrible job with the first 1-3 pancakes, and then after that, they usually turn out ok for me. I feel like I relearn how to make them every time I make them, lol.

What are you talking about? Why cook when you can just eat everything raw? Best way of being a true person.

Because human bodies have adapted in such a way that eating some foods uncooked will make us sick.

I love baking and cooking. Probably the worst thing to happen is hot oil splash on my hand. Right now my new favorite thing to make is grilled cheese using Dave's Killer Blues Bread, just google it if you don't know what that is, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, and Provolone cheese. It is just so great tasting. I would love to cook more, but I don't have all the necessary equipment to make the food I want.

I love to cook. Mostly breakfasts. My favorite thing to make is French Toast. Add some vanilla to it, a little bit of cinnamon, and it's perfect! Worst time cooking...probably when I was making brownies and as I was putting them in the oven, the whole tray just fell and batter spilled all over the inside of the stove. Sigh. What a hassle to clean...
