In your opinion, are there any anime on CR that you would recommend to just about anyone? Can be more than one.

I might have to go with Lucky Star.

Strange, when I read the title I instantly though the same thing(LS)! :P
Some nice comedy, practically no plot you have to pay attention to, a school anime, it definitely would appeal to my mainstream friends, haha.

Agreed. It's good for mainstream, because it is still a worthwhile series when taken for surface value, but it also has things to appeal to more seasoned fans. All in all, it is very accessible. (well, besides moe and the anime tenchou jokes!).

Aside from the obvious Naruto and Bleach, I gotta say Occult Academy, Gankutsuou, and Durarara

I would definitely advise anyone to watch Steins;Gate! It is absolutely a fabulous anime. At first I thought the drawn style of the characters might turn me off, but I am so glad I gave this anime a chance. An amazing storyline, plenty of plot twists, a ton of humor (with a side of romance), and all the sci-fi you could want!

Another this season I would recommend is No. 6. Again sci-fi. The animation is beautiful and the characters are captivating (eventhough I thought Sion started out a bit weak and was very odd and I kinda wanted to smack him). I look forward to the continuation of this anime every week.

Last to recommend for this season would be Ao No Exorcist. It has finally started to spice up in the later episodes - I mean, the son of Satan wanting and needing to become an exorcist, how could that not be somewhat interesting? I am really liking the humor in this anime as well as the character growth.

I never did watch No.6, mainly because people said it has a lot of Yaoi. I don't care, as long as it doesn't have a lot, so is that really true of what people say?

I think there is some Yaoi implied but there is nothing over the top. I am not a Yaoi fan myself, but just undertones doesn't really bother me much. I wouldn't let that keep you from at least checking it out if you are interested in it.

Haruhi - its funny and wacky, yet creative and well made. Older people may have a harder time enjoying this show (like 30+) and young children may not like it. is also probably enjoyed by more males that females.

Durarara - lots of views from both guys and girls, I am sure. I think its enjoyed by teen/young adults mostly.

Steins;gate - expands to all ages tho is probably enjoyed by way more by guys than girls. young children won't like it/ shouldn't watch it.

Blue exorcist - expands to guys and girls tho more popular with girls by quite a bit. I think that the age demographic on the girls side reaches much higher ages than on the boy side. meaning young teen boys and young adult/middle age adult women will be the most likely to enjoy it.

Usagi drop - any age can enjoy this show tho it is more a middle age women's show. Children and young teens are likely to enjoy it less.

~~After saying all that I must say just cause you don't fit in the demographic doesn't mean you won't like it, it means people that are in the described demographic are more likely to enjoy those shows.

Your post was interesting in that it contained demographics, and I agree with you for the most part.

I'd have to go with Nichijou, Durarara, Eureka Seven, and Mitsudomoe. They would be good "anyone" anime, although I suppose Eureka Seven is more in the mecha genre but has a good story. There are a ton of others I could recommend but they aren't on CR. There are a lot of other good shows (some of which I like more than those listed) but they would definitely not fall into the "anyone" category.

I think that a lot of people that weren't aware of certain things in anime would be turned away by Mitsudomoe..

Um..If anyone is wondering and didn't notice, I'm the topic starter so I already stated my answer to the main question, I just felt the need to comment on these posts.

Well there is a

other than that its not really that bad. It has a nice plot, but I really don't see how this is going to tie up in 11 episodes unless they have another season.
