Allow me to put your mind at ease. YES! They are doing a going to have a new anime of HunterXHunter going to air in October! There are a few catches though, They are not starting the anime from where they left off. They are actually doing a remake starting from the begining and some of the voice actors are going to change and a completely new animator will be doing them as well.. As a matter of fact it's going to be MADHOUSE production company so you know it will be good. Many people are calling in HunterXHunter Kai since what they are doing is similar to what they did with Dragon Ball Kai. Worry not though they don't have any intentions or rather a set date to complete they show and they have a lot of manga to catch up to as long as the ratings meet they're expectations I believe it's going to air for a long time

Although I don't know who will pick up and sub the show. Doubt CR will do it right away but it's a popular show and very much anticipated so I'm sure a fansubber somewhere will be picking it up for subs pretty soon after it airs.

Sweet!. It's about time they did the next arc eventhough, it's not very good like the first few arcs were.

Based on past precedent, odds of a simulcast by CR are not good. Of shows that had Nippon TV as the sole primary network since the beginning of 2009, Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin was simulcast by Funimation (and was also produced by Madhouse), and Inuyasha: The Final Act (produced by Sunrise) was simulcast by Viz, and that is all.

The reason I emphasized "sole" is that where Yomiuri TV was also listed as the primary network with NTV, there was a Crunchyroll simulcast.

Given that Funimation was down to one new simulcast this season (and that was the sequel of a series that had previously simulcast), and they already have one new simulcast nailed down for Fall 2011, I would have my doubts about them picking this one up.

Viz, on the other hand, has (or had) the license for the manga and the original anime. Their simulcast of Tiger & Bunny will also be ending this season.

All things considered, I would say the best bet for a simulcast of the new Hunter x Hunter is from Viz.

Actually, Yomiuri TV was on the production committee for Inuyasha: The Final Act while NTV wasn't. Even though they didn't have the first airing, it's reasonable to believe that YTV handled the licensing of the series. As for Rainbow, I can't find out whether NTV handled some of the production or not.

Historically speaking it's very unlikely that CR will simulcast the series. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if CR pushed extra hard for the series as mainstream shounens are definitely the most popular animes on this site.

You're going to have to wait for the next arc. I just explained they are starting the series from the begining... Weren't you listening?

I see... Very interesting. I have my doubts that any American company be it Funimation or Viz are going to pick up a show before it airs. Look bottom line ladies and gentlemen it's going to be a fansubber who gets a hold of this thing first. People have a choice watch it a day or a few days after it's release or a few weeks to even possibly a few months until someone buys the rights and decides to simulcast it. If they even decide too, I myself have been waiting for this for to long.

That doesn't mean whoever gets it will simulcast it.

No, but if it is licensed before broadcast begins, odds of a simulcast increase, especially for some companies (i.e., Viz, Funimation).

That actually worries me. I wonder if they still got any capable directors? I mean, take a look at that Marvel rubbish they made.

X-Men 2011 was actually pretty good, only one I can vouche for though Iron Man, Wolverine and now Blade suck. But it's not entirely MadHouse's fault. Well, it is but then it isn't. A Japanese production company just has to add it's own flare to it even if it's removing vital components of whatever they're making. Think about it how many Anime's have you ever seen that hasn't either taken place in Japan or if it did briefly takes place in a foreign setting the lead character is ALWAYS Japanese. In my experience the only instances where this isn't true is when the show takes place in a complete fantasy world like Letter Bee. Even then ever notice the food is always Japanese LoL. I'm not disagreeing with what they are doing with this but when you take American comic book Characters and place them all in Japan, like they did in Iron Man, Wolverine, X-Men and Blade you're taking away the American flare and replacing it with Japanese Flare. Although we think it's crap because we're used to our versions of it, I'm sure the Japanese viewers thought it was entertaining. Either way you won't have this issue with HxH and I think MadHouse will do a pretty good job with it being that HxH is originally a Japanese Manga.

If it is simulcast or fansubbed I'm not worried about it since I'll be able to view it one way or another, that's all that matters to me
