I hate standing in line. And being put on hold.

Let's see....
well, I stood in line for 2 hours at disneyland. Just to go on space mountain. My dad was there too. We were just relieved to sit down & get on the ride after that long wait.
Another time I waited in line: Black friday. Oh dear god. Black friday lines..... 1+ hour(s) wait for each line...
And then the after Christmas sales.... not as bad as black friday, but still, long wait.

Yeah, it's pretty annoying standing in a slow moving line.

The longest would probably be at Universal Studios for like an agonizing hour for some Simpson virtual ride, but now when we go places we just buy the front of the line passes or go on a day it won't be busy.

The funny thing is I am normally patient and will put up with a lot, but I detest lines. I don't like waiting for something I already think is mine, and a lot of times I'm running on a short schedule so I don't have time to wait.

And then there are the times when I'm being in a super good mood, and I'll let someone with like 1 item go first. *sigh* That happens a lot when I'm shopping, but it works out because people do it for me now. What comes around, goes around.

The DMV to renew my license. It was two and a half hours of just standing, waiting to get to the head of the line so I could go into another line.

I don't mind waiting if it means to kill time, unless it's urgent.

Tanker collided with a 4-wheeler on Eagle Mountain, Tennessee several years ago. If you're headed for Nashville from Chattanooga or vice versa from Nashville to Chattanooga it amounts to an interesting drive off Eagle Mountain. I was employed as an 18-wheeler driver for MNX, based out of Joplin, MO at the time. I and 150 other big rigs had to wait in a rest area truck pull-off for 5 hours while emergency road crews aided the living and cleaned up the wreckage.

Waited 45 minutes in 4 different lines at a bank in Marshall, TX trying to convert cash into a cashier's check. This was back in the '70's when I was an owner-operator contracted out to a household goods moving agency and my shipper paid for the move with cash. I wore long hair back then and dressed poorly since I would frequently get grease and dirt on whatever I wore when working on the truck. Why ruin nice clothes? Four different lines in the same bank: these old gals would make a snap judgment based on looks instead of deeds. Every time I got to the window the teller would a) go to lunch or potty break, 2) not my job to accept cash, go try the other teller, 3) Sorry, do you have an account here? Go to the next teller please.
Of course the bank manager was out and the fact that my cousins who owned a well-known restaurant in this burg at the time had an account there mattered not. I gave up after 4th refusal and went to a different bank which waited on me right away and did what I wanted regardless of possessing no existing account. I fantasized for a long time afterward about working hard, accumulating sufficient capital to buy the first bank, then waiting until 1 week before retirement each of these discriminating tellers would enjoy before firing their asses for terrible service! No explanations, no recourse....take that, bitches. I got over the anger years ago but never forgot the experience.

Visited my cousins who were farmers and resided at the end of a country road in Chariton county, MO several tears ago. It snowed that night and the wind blew to the point it became blizzard-like. Because of snow drifts, non-existent highway service, no 4-wheel drive vehicles on premise that weekend visit lasted an extra 4 days before temps returned to seasonal norm and I was able to shovel my way through the drifts to "freedom" from relatives.

Like many of you I dislike waiting. I'll even drive 150+ miles out of my way to avoid traffic congestion in metropolitan areas.

The longest line I can remember is the line at Gamestop for MW3. Stood there for about 4+ hours. Had a load of fun doing it too especially when two people began having their cars talk to each other by blinking the headlights and the guy behind me and my friend kept turning his alarm on when the cops drove by. Freakin hilarious. Sadly MW3 didn't live up to my enjoyment of the line. Stupid half assed campaign filled with nothing but flashy set pieces and an irritating as always, but somehow more infuriating, online multiplayer.

I stood in line for an hour and half for The Incredible Hulk roller coaster at Islands of Adventure a few years back.

I queued up to cross the road the other day, until I realized I was following a family if Indians.
