They have taken the place of post counts. Post counts are just as useless and are only to let people know how active a user is. It is the same with CR points.

i need 500 2 ask a question
question is. how do crunchyroll help anime get dubbed

It doesn't really help but if it's popular there is a good chance it gets licensed eventually, if Funimation licenses something it will get dubbed something like Cat Planet Cuties, Deadman Wonderland was on Crunchyroll, Steins Gate, Panty and Stocking, Heaven's Lost Property, Is this a Zombie, and many more were on Crunchyroll were popular and got dubs. On the other hand if Sentai Licenses something that Crunchyroll also streams, if it's popular, there is a better chance that it gets dubbed like No. 6, Kids on the Slope, Horizon in the middle of nowhere, UN-GO, Another, Bodacious Space Pirates, and Majikoi Oh Samurai Girls,.

You can write the US anime companies that do the dubbing. Funimation is the biggest one.

For shows like Can't Play H which are still airing in Japan, there will be a long wait until an English dubbed version (if any at all) gets created. Dubbing an anime can not be done in a few hours like subtitling can.

The US Anime industry has gotten a lot better in the recent years when it came to the speed of releasing dub series. Before you would have to wait years for a show to be released in an English dubbed format, today it can be as little as 6 months after a show finished airing in Japan to get an English dubbed release in the states, but those are usually the most popular series that the companies know will bring in a lot of money. Niche and unpopular shows may not even get dubbed, or if they do, could take a couple years before being released. I Can't Play H I feel is too niche of a genra for the US market so I believe that it may be a while before an ENglish dubbed version is available, if any at all.

As for Gintama, I thought it was already being released in dubbed format in the US. Then again, I have only ever liked a handful of dubbed versions of anime so I do not keep track of anime released in the US. (The Ghibli films are the only exception, I get those the day Disney releases them here in the states)

Sentai licensed the first 49 episodes of Gintama for physical release, but those were sub-only DVDs. They have licensed the Gintama movie, which will be dubbed (and released on BD):

Further releases and possibly dubbing of the series will hinge on how well the movie performs:

Yes they do, but I don't buy the Disney Blu-Rays to listen to the dubs. I watch it in the original audio. Buying the Disney releases is the only way to obtain the Ghibli movies legally in the US.

The good thing about the Disney releases is that part of the contractual agreement with Ghibli studios is they are not allowed to change anything in the movies (Cut/Edit/Censor) which is something that I think all other Japanese anime studios should stipulate in their contracts.
