When I was watching Steins;Gate, I lost interest after watching the 2nd episode. Then later that year, my friend and I made a deal that we would each recommend each other an anime that we would have to watch. He recommended Steins;Gate, and I fell in love with it. It now holds as my favorite anime. MY recommendation was erm.. well let's just say it wasn't a good choice.

Yes, I have even stopped watching anime just because I did not like how the characters were drawn.
For instance I absolutely hated the way the characters were drawn in peach girl!
But after some time,I got really bored and gave it a shot. LOVED IT. Same thing happened with Durarara, I get you. : P

Gintama, it was just like....i was like "what the heck is this about? i don't ge tthe point..."
and until now...i still don't watch it, i don't know why O_O i just skipped to like episode 50 or somethin' lol
dono.....don't watch it hto;;;
Also, Naruto, lol i saw the first episode, i was like gosh.....when am i ever going to finish this? (get to the recent episodes) and now look  i'm the the recent epiosde in the manga! yay! lol |

when Full Metal Alchemist first came out and it was in every issue of Newtype USA
I assumed it was just another kiddy shounen thing and ignored it (I was watching 6 other shows too though...)
When Adult Swim picked up, I wanted to know why, so i checked it out(other than Inu Yasha and Bleach, they have a good track record)
I found out in the first 6 minutes of episode one. I was hooked.
It became one of my favorite series. . .and then Brotherhood came out.

I had some real trouble getting into High School Of The Dead. I watched a couple episodes, then went for a little while without watching it again. Then just kinda said "Ah hell let's give another shot" lol

When I first started watching Another, I thought it was really boring and I couldn't understand the storyline from the first few episodes. But then I continued to watch it and it turned out really awesome. I loved that anime ^.^

I thought Durarara was going to be amazing based upon the first few eps, but I never dropped an anime so fast once I got to episode 12(I think?)
I judged One Piece without even seeing it because I associated it with Naruto and Bleach, which are pretty much everything I hate in anime.

Yeah I used to think One Piece is so rubbish and kiddy I mean I always said how can anyone like this crap ? and After watching the first 3 episode I was still not Impress.

Magi - the description seemed boring and the name choices made it seem unoriginal, but it's really good.

I love Durarara, but some episodes deserve to be skipped. I just wished they would translate the novels. I read 9 but only have a vague description of what happened in 7 or 8. |

Watched Anohana when it came out. Quite disliked Menma, and figured since the story was about her, It might be good to just cut my losses. Then a wave a good reviews and high praise came in, and I figured I'd give it another shot. Glad I did.

Done it once with Katekyoshi Hitman REBORN!, needless to say that i picked it up pretty fast again afterwards ^^
So not really no, even with the animes that i've stopped watching like Elfen Lied, it wasn't because i judged it too fast, simply just not my genre |
