I want you all to guess what the closest disorder would be for the person above you. I'll even list all the mental disorders, and define them, so it's easy. DISORDERS: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Acute Stress Disorder: The result of a traumatic event. Causes extreme fear, has intense helplessness and can't handle feelings the right way. Adjustment Disorder: Basically freaks out over a bad report card, loss of boyfriend/girlfriend, and ect. Can't handle the stress from it. Anti-Social Personality Disorder: Lies and cons others for personal pleasure, impulsiveness, irritability and aggressiveness, has reckless disregard for safety of self or others and has lack of remorse. Anxiety Disorder: Has pathological fear and anxiety. Persistent fear and worry and becomea overly concerned with everyday matters. Asperger Syndrome:Impairment in social interaction. They approach others, even if awkwardly. Along with not recognizing other peoples feelings or reactions. They may feel a need for privacy or haste to leave and may come across as insensitive. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder: Has Inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. They are easily distracted, miss details, forget things, and frequently switch from one activity to another. Daydream and become easily confused. Pervasive Developmental Disorder: Has signs of schizophrenia, has egocentric thinking, autistic withdrawal to fantasies, against which any influence from outside becomes an intolerable disturbance. Is obsessed with details and has social problems. Autophagia: inflicts pain upon oneself by biting and/or devouring portions of one's body. It is sometimes caused by severe sexual anxiety, sometimes combined with schizophrenia or psychosis. Avoidant Personality Disorder: Loss and rejection are so painful that these individuals will choose to be lonely rather than risk trying to connect with others.Self-imposed social isolationExtreme shyness or anxiety in social situations, though the person feels a strong desire for close relationships Severe low self-esteem. Bibliomania: Involves the collecting or hoarding of books to the point where social relations or health are damaged. Other abnormal behaviors involving books include book-eating, compulsive book-stealing and book-burying. Bipolar Disorder: persistent feelings of sadness, anxiety, guilt, anger, isolation, or hopelessness; disturbances in sleep and appetite; fatigue and loss of interest in usually enjoyable activities; problems concentrating; loneliness, self-loathing, apathy or indifference; depersonalization; loss of interest in sexual activity; shyness or social anxiety; irritability, lack of motivation. In severe cases, the individual may become psychotic. These symptoms include delusions or, less commonly, hallucinations, usually unpleasant. Body Dysmorphic Disorder : Obsessive thoughts about appearance defects Delusional thoughts and beliefs that they have appearance defects. Social and family withdrawal, social phobia, loneliness and self-imposed social isolation. Anxiety; possible panic attacks. Feeling self-conscious Strong feelings of shame. Avoidant personality Dependent personality: dependence on others, such as a partner, friend or family. Borderline Personality Disorder: Very sensitive to the way others treat them, reacting strongly to perceived criticism or hurtfulness. Their feelings about others often shift from positive to negative, generally after a disappointment or perceived threat of losing someone. Self-image can also change rapidly from extremely positive to extremely negative. Brief Psychotic Disorder: Includes delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech or behavior, or catatonic behavior. The symptoms must not be better accounted for by schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, delusional disorder or mania in bipolar disorder. Conduct Disorder: The do things that are destructive or troublesome to themselves or others as coping. Every teenager has a coping method; only some of the methods are troublesome or destructive. Exhibitionism: Loves to flash there naked body to the world, in more ways then one. Fregoli delusion: Thinks that different people are in fact a single person who changes appearance or is in disguise. Has a paranoid nature with the delusional person believing themselves persecuted by the person they believe is in disguise. Histrionic Personality Disorder : including an excessive need for approval and inappropriately seductive behavior, usually beginning in early adulthood. Hypomania: Individuals in a hypomanic state have a decreased need for sleep, are extremely outgoing and competitive, and have a great deal of energy. Kleptomania Is an irresistible urge to steal items of trivial value. People with this disorder are compelled to steal things, generally, but not limited to, objects of little or no significant value, such as pens, paper clips, paper and tape. Some kleptomaniacs may not even be aware that they have committed the theft. Narcissistic Personality Disorder:Has issues of personal adequacy, power, prestige and vanity. Very very self-centered. Narcolepsy is a chronic sleep disorder, or dyssomnia, characterized by an excessive urge to sleep at inappropriate times, such as while at work. Nightmare disorder, or dream anxiety disorder: During the nightmare, the sleeper may moan and move slightly. The victim is often awakened by these threatening and frightening dreams and can often vividly remember their experience. Upon awakening, the sleeper is unusually alert and oriented within their surroundings, but may have an increased heart rate and symptoms of anxiety, like sweating. They may have trouble falling back to sleep for fear they will experience another nightmare. Oppositional Defiant Disorder : include excessive, often persistent anger, frequent temper tantrums or angry outbursts, and disregard for authority. Children and adolescents with this disorder often annoy others on purpose, blame others for their mistakes, and are easily annoyed. Parents often observe more rigid and defiant behaviors than in siblings. In addition, these young people may appear resentful of others and when someone does something they don't like they often take revenge on them. Paranoid Personality Disorder: paranoia and a pervasive, long-standing suspiciousness and generalized mistrust of others. Pica an appetite for substances largely non-nutritive (e.g., metal, clay, coal, sand, dirt, soil, feces, chalk, pens and pencils, paper, batteries, spoons, toothbrushes, soap, mucus, latex gloves, ash, gum, lip balm, tacks and other office supplies Insomnia is most often defined by an individual's report of sleeping difficulties. Psychosis: means abnormal condition of the mind, "loss of contact with reality". People suffering from psychosis are described as psychotic.may exhibit personality changes and thought disorder. Depending on its severity, this may be accompanied by unusual or bizarre behavior, as well as difficulty with social interaction. Pyromania in more extreme circumstances can be a impulse control disorder to deliberately start fires to relieve tension or for gratification or relief. Schizophrenia Disintegration of thought processes and of emotional responsiveness. It most commonly manifests with hallucinations, paranoid or bizarre delusions, or disorganized speech and thinking, and it is accompanied by significant social or occupational dysfunction. You know, you are partially correct. I do worry about a lot of things, whether it be good or bad. I overlook a lot of matters. Now we are kind of talking psychology, NyuBoom. I am many things combined, and you are correct on one.
