Ideas for Mahou Shoujos
Posted 9/3/11 , edited 5/3/12
You ever had an idea for a mahou shoujo or powers for one and such?
Post them here
Even the crazy and bizarre ones, but keep it PG-13

I'll start with one of the dumber ones I thought of when I was younger,
I once had an idea for a mahou shoujo that used magical office supplies
never really came up with a name for her though
Maybe Pensuru-san?

what about self-replication, create an infinite about of yourself then you can never really die cause a piece of you is still out there somewhere to make more of yourself.

don't know never got into Harry Potter, what I'm talking about is creating an army of yourself each with their own thoughts the same personality as yourself and duplicating yourself indefinitely as long as one remains, plus if this is a magical girl we're talking about then there will be a lot of fans, lonely fans very lonely fans, so each fan can have their own girl.

You better NOT be implying that everyone who likes magical girl anime is a pathetic loser who will never find love.

Because that's just plain ignorant to say, not to mention untrue.

Please use your brain the next time you express yourself.

Okay, this is a bit of a crazy idea...
How about we take all all the innocence out of the magical girl shows, and instead have some depressing story about how magical girls are being utilised to preven internet entropy. While we're at it, let's include a girl who has time-freezing abilities, a girl who can shoot gigantic revolvers, a girl who goes OMNOMNOM, a girl who keeps dying, and some plain main character? We could even colour code them for convenience! And we gotta have some cool familiar as well, so how about a white thing with dull, emotionless eyes?

I'm joking, no one would be crazy enough to make something like that ...OH WAIT.

*grins*

Oh oh, how about we introduce the "bad guys" in the abstract form of absurd doodles of mustaches and flowers that strongly resemble images from acid-induced music videos on American TV during the 70s and 80s? Surely no one else could think of doing that....OH WAIT.

Spitballing some ideas.

1.Mahou Shoujo Next Wave: If you read Marvel's Next Wave you get the idea. A group of really unlikely magical girls find out that the the cute little magical pet and/or the good magical land Queen they are following is actually a part of the the main bad guys. All of their missions have actually been to further the Evil Queen's plan. After stealing a copy of the plan within the first half of the first episode, its a race against time to prevent each stage of the evil master plan. For the series to work each of the main characters, while skilled, should have some sort of flaw that not only really does not make them seem like a good candidate to be a magic girl, it also really does hamper them working as a team at the beginning. Over time they learn to work together, finally becoming a crazy awesome and non typical team. It should end with them in possession of the Evil Queen's lair/space castle/evil universe and coming to the conclusion that what to do next is, "anything they want."

2.Tokyo Metropolitan Police: Magical Girl Division: After a very public and destructive battle between a group of magical girls and a evil energy being, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police forms a division of magical girls to officially take care of magical based threats to Japan.

3. Thunderbird Shoujo: Instead of the standard scope of magical girl shows, it deals with an international team of magical girls formed deal with disasters on a global scale. Basically Sailor Moon meets the Thunderbirds. Alternatively how about a series focusing on the TSA's Disaster Rescue Squads from Nanoha.

That sounds a bit like Strike Witches, you know, just a tad...
But it still sounds interesting.

Actually what influenced that idea was an American comic series I once read about online years ago. The story was about a group of superheros who were police officers in a major metropolitan US police force. I can't remember the name of the series offhand, but that basic idea of the series came back to me when I was thinking about ideas for magical girl series.

I always kind of wondered how magical girls would worked in the context of a larger law enforcement organization. In some ways, the Time-Space Administration Bureau from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha is exactly how it would work.

Ah, right, I completely wasn't thinking about that! Anyways, you had some nice ideas. You should put that creative mind to good use!

At times its been rather easy for me to come up with plot ideas, even at the spur of the moment. My main problem has always been trying to write a full story from my ideas.
