The only reason this didn't sell well in Japan was because of its release timing. Like RIGHT after the big earthquake... I doubt they wanted to watch something with this much gore. Give it another year and this will sell big in Japan.

I hope they do a second season as well, great anime. There is at least a single unaired episode that will be out in October according to Neregate's fall anime chart;

I was speaking along the terms of it having gore and depictions of blood which, if you know anything about Japanese culture, is pushing the bounds of what they consider political correctness... Really is common sense though, would YOU want to be hit with dozens of depictions of people being blown up a few weeks after 9/11 occurred? Get real guy... |

does anyone know if there will be a season 2? Ive been trying to find out but from what it seems like, I don't think there will be another season which is pretty disappointing considering there was never really an end to it. It left you with nothing.

Surely you don't mean watching it on one of those bootleg leech streaming sites that illegally upload bootlegs to places like Veoh, MySpace or Megavideo and then leech of those free streams. The video quality of the free streaming services that they leech off of suck. People who want to watch Stein's Gate on Crunchyroll shouldn't let grass grow under their feet either, its also been licensed by Funimation, so the streaming licensed could well expire 30 days after the end of the current season. |

Since Funimation is going to dub it, there's a chance that Madman will pick it up for Oz/NZ.
I've never been able to work out whether its Kadokawa Pictures itself that decided to skip Australia, or whether Madman or Siren has let it be known they would rather not license something that has been on Crunchyroll. Like it says above, not likely to be a second season, because of poor anime sales in Japan. Seems like the timing of a story set ten years after Tokyo was 3/4 destroyed by an earthquake was bad luck, with the big earthquake that hit just before the series broadcast. Why yes, yes I do. And Yes I am. Once I watch something, it no longer matters to me if i've paid for it or not, because i'm done watching it. I own "1" dvd, I watched it once, and it's sat there on my shelf since. That's my point, take it how you like. |
