Kim In-Suk has been ignored by her in-laws for many years and things only get worse when her husband dies in a helicopter crash. Her in-laws try to disown her but Han Ji-Hun, a lawyer, comes to her rescue. Their interactions may lead to more than just business.

Making a breakaway from the “royal family centered” drama, The Duo portrays the lives and love of the outcasts or the neglected class in the late Joseon Period whose life stories have often been neglected in dramas before.
