OK. I've cheating and watched the latest episode from a pirating anime website. Sue me. I love this show. and I feel so sorry for Miki. Learning his sorry makes me feel really sad. I mean, honestly, Oga was his friend for 8 months and he doesn't remember his name? Seriously? He seemed to remember Beelzebub's name very quickly. He was calling Beelzebub "Baby Beel" in NO TIME. and Furuichi. He knows his name. and that other baby. I forgot the name of Aoi's baby brother. But Oga remembered that baby's name right away. Now, how come Oga remember the baby's name when he only met the baby like one time. But he can't remember the name of his good friend for 8 months?

It's like the two of them were good friends. It was the most fun Miki ever had. He even seemed to have a crush on Oga. I mean, he strongly looked up to Oga. and Oga doesn't remember him. OK. HONESTLY, I would want revenge. I mean, wouldn't you? I think anybody would want revenge. You are a loyal and faithful friend. and you friend punches you when you tried to help them out. I'm sorry but Miki's in the right. Miki has every right to be upset and has every right to want revenge. Oga is WRONG here.

But of course, he's not going to admit it. He's just going to try to beat the shit out that guy then ignore him. Let's face it. He's not going to apologize and he's not going to admit that he was wrong for punching his friend. After all, he does it to Furuichi all the time. But I think that this would be a GREAT opportunity to show some character growth. Oga doesn't have to be TOO mature. or else this would be boring. But Miki seems like he would be the perfect ally to have. Now he's Oga's lost. In the end, it would be great if he had more allies on his side. He doesn't need to be so prideful in his fighting abilities. Again, he doesn't have to be too mature or else this anime would be boring. But he can acknowledge his friends feelings more. Like he could be all childish in apologizing for example. That is the way that it would STAY interesting without ruining the immature-ness of his character.

But after knowing what happened with Miki. I don't want to see him losing. Actually, I'm rooting for Miki to win. Because being betrayed by your friend hurts more than anything.

I have read the manga since it was released back in like 2008 or 09, and I can tell you that after this arc, Miki isn't in it anymore. Actually...I think he may have been mentioned in the latest chapter for the first time in ages...ah, well.

Btw, Oga hasn't forgotten about him. Don't tell me you're really that clueless. He's saying it metaphorically because he used to know someone who knew what real power and courage was, and wanted to protect himself and others by becoming strong both physically and in his heart, and Oga liked that Miki had that kind of guts. But then, Miki became a cowardly weakling, because he completely forgot about what Oga had said. And now, Miki is an arrogant moron who is obsessed with getting stronger and intent on taking revenge on the very person who he should be thanking. And that is not the Miki who Oga knows.

I knew that Oga remembered Miki, ofc. That's why I said,"He remembers a baby that he met ONCE, but he can't remember a friend he had for 8 months." I sad that because NOBODY forgets a person they knew for 8 months. That's IMPOSSIBLE. That is why I said what I said. Sorry for confusing you. So, please don't call me clueless. I was just saying, like,"Come on now, you can't forget somebody you've known for 8 months." and was just pointing out that Oga is actually very good at remembering names. He remembered a baby's name that he's only known for a little while. Hope that I cleared that up.

and thank you for explaining that metaphor. But please remember that I am ONLY watching the anime. I haven't read the manga. So, I haven't an idea what's going on and why Oga is saying this. If I read the manga than I could be like,"Oh. it was a metaphor." But come on, Oga acts like a TOTAL and COMPLETE idiot on the show. He doesn't even know the answer to 38+48 on a test he took. He has shown NO DEPTH in this show. Only stupidity. and I really don't know where the author is going. Like Ceil Phantomhive. Does Ceil Phantomhive actually have a good, sweet, loving heart. Or is he really doing does NICE actions for his beloved Queen? Even though, with the Indian guy, it was CLEARLY because he had a good heart. But the author tries to work it where. It could be either because of the Queen OR because he has a good heart OR both.

When a character is really simple, you have to always ponder if they are really complicated. What you are describing here is deep and meaningful. "He used to know someone with knew what real power and courage was, and wanted to protect himself and others by becoming strong both physically and in his heart"? When has Oga ever shown that kind of depth? You are reading the manga and I'm watching the anime. and so far the anime showed him as a stupid, idiot. So, there is a difference between what you know and what I know.

The anime is poorly made, and, as a fan of the manga, very disappointing. I mean, in the manga he actually has a personality, and he actually does care about certain people.

I know exactly what you mean. I've read the book to Holes, and when I saw the movie, it was rather disappointing. Usually, there is always differences between the written material and the anime/movie. and people who read the book/manga would always be disappointed in the movie/anime. They do edit a LOT of things out. Even add things that weren't in the manga/book. So, I know how you feel. In the anime, Oga hasn't shown that he cares about people's feelings.

But thanks ^^ Idealistically, we should all read the manga then watch the anime. But nobody really has that kind of time. Plus, I have Japanese lessons I should be working on. There are things that I don't like about manga. Like I'm actually studying Japanese. and I need to hear Japanese to know how words are pronounced and improve my understanding. I am reaching the point where I am beginning to understand certain sentences. Like before, I could only understand 1 or 2 words in an anime. Now, each and every time I watch anime, there is at least a phrase I understand. As good as manga is, I really need to HEAR it. Or else my Japanese skill will never improve.
