Are there any anime/manga that you would recommend to anyone?

I'm too afraid to go for the whole "bidding" thing. I'd rather just buy things as i see them. Auctions would definitely make me crazy.

Sometimes eBay doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Just finished Shigofumi and I thought it was pretty good. It had it's share of cliches but it has more than enough good things going for it for me recommend it.

Ku, yesterday I bought Otomo's "Memories" on DVD for $6.99.

What a steal. Although I really bought it mostly for Magnetic Rose....That's my favorite.

Score!

I've seen a few used copies going for around that price where I shop. Rose is by far the better film of that collection but the other one's are fairly enjoyable too. I'm preparing the funds to purchase the last volume of Utena, Redline, and House of Five Leaves in the near future. Still contemplating on Twelve Kingdoms though because the whole set on DVD is around $40; while there are three volumes on blu-ray for about $30 each.

I would jump on a set of Twelve Kingdoms!!! ;o

And I really have to find Utena one of these days. My used DVD store only has the first volume.

I think I'm going to settle for the whole set because I can just barely fork out enough money for a few blu-ray movies let alone a whole set!

Purchased Redline Tuesday and I must say it was pretty damn good. It is a bit short on story but you still feel for the characters. Plus, the animation is some of the best I've ever seen, which is no surprise if you do some research on who worked on the film.

redline was a great movie, i do also wish that they made made something to shed a little light on the main characters story but i guess the flashbacks gave a good idea, also JP's hair is unforgettable
