Are there any anime/manga that you would recommend to anyone?

I heard they had a time limit as to how long the film was supposed to be so that probably kept them from divulging more information about the characters and the world they live in. Though, I like it when they keep a film or series short and to the point.

Okami-san and Her Seven Companions is a good one in my opinion. Can't say the same about the price though.

Just be thankful it's not distributed by Aniplex, or it'd be 2 or 3 times as much.

Aniplex? Seriously charge 2x-3x as much? Wow and her I thought every blu-ray was always like 60 bucks.

Haven't seen alot of episodes but yup One Piece is a good.

Aniplex like to release a shows in split up volumes. While those volumes are loaded with some cool stuff they're still insanely expensive (i.e. Durarara, Puella Magi Madoka Magica).

Whereas other distributors are releasing most of their titles in complete collections for much lower costs (Funi, Sentai, NIS, Nozomi).

Yeah I finally get what your saying. After watching all the Madoka Magica episodes on here I had the urge to buy them on blu-ray~ but geez~~~ $90+ I'll probably just wait for that price drop.

Aniplex is bad with their pricing, but they do offer many shows on free streaming.

I often run into problems with Sentai pricing. I think some of their complete sets are absolutely ridiculous.
Funimation isn't bad, though. I find that they offer reasonable prices, especially with the S.A.V.E. versions. Most of the anime I want to buy if from Sentai.... :/

I wait for prices to drop! Angel Beats was like $60-$70 this time last year, and I picked it up a few months ago for $40.

It's a shame Aniplex also picked up Bakemonogatari but that may mean it could show up on CR at some point for streaming like Durarara and Blue Exorcist, but that's a pretty hopeful guess though. It will be a blu-ray box but have no dubs so the price might be around $60 for the whole series from what I've read, not insanely priced like Madoka.

Sentai has picked up Kids on the Slope, a series that I might pick up depending on how well it ends. They'll probably give it an English dub and that will add a bit to the price but I don't expect it to be too much.

Funimation has always had decent pricing; waiting for that Ergo Proxy collection to come out in August even though it was slated for July.

Plus, I just ordered my copies of Katanagatari on blu-ray and DVD. Each volume was only $50, basically having 12 episodes in each pack so it wasn't too bad for having both versions... I think.

CR broke the news that, while Aniplex licensed Bakemonogatari, they have no plans to stream it (unlike Nisemonogatari). :(

I wouldn't have *too* much of a problem with this if it weren't Aniplex......
