Yes. The Melancholy of Haruhi Manizmiya.

I refuse to accept the fact that such an ugly person is female. As such, it is either and it or a he. Simple!!

Um........you're mental.

You might not like her but at least accept she's a girl. She is definitely not ugly. It is not possible for Nozomi Ito to design ugly girls-they are all beautiful. If you're going to call Haruhi "ugly", you might as well call Mikuru and Yuki "ugly" because they have the same face!

lol

As for me, I wasn't sure if I liked Nia from Gurren Lagann but the second time I watched the series, I found her totally adorable!

And I used to hate Sailor Mars and Mercury but after properly watching Sailormoon again, uncut, I grew to like them.

I used to like Miaka from Fushigi Yuugi but now I hate her guts. lol

Mayo Chiki! : That annoying Usagi-chan girl !
first I thought she's kinda cute cause of her shyness.. but she's so annoying ! D:<
And Kureha.. I kinda find her annoying but also cute. u.u
She should show some love to Jirou.. instead of trying to kill him everytime.

No, I'm quite normal, I assure you. I hate characters that look like that; - Think about it. What kind of creature has a huge head, tiny body, a gigantic hairdo and large eyes?

an ALIEN. I prefer when characters look "Real", not disgusting "Moe-blobs." Probably why I utterly detest K-ON.

Yes, the big-breasted bunny girl in that Haruhi show is ugly as well. I don't like large breasts. And, the small quiet one looks like a little kid, which is boring.

Nia from Gurren Lagann was hideous too. Yoko was actually okay, but I do love ponytails. Never watched Sailor Moon, and - Wait. I did, a long time ago...I think I was 4? 5? Whatever. And, never heard of this "Fushigi Yuugi".

To cut the chase short, I like realistic looking characters, that actually look human. The only substitute for this is when there's lots of blood. Characters like the ones from Gantz! or Hellsing Ultimate are what I'm talking about. Black Lagoon is good as well, and Ghost in a Shell. Not moe-blobs.

But, this is the interwebs, and we all have our own opinions. Please don't take offense; - I'm just sick and tired of "Moe" characters.

I'm always changing my opinions of characters, because first impressions are rarely accurate and characters develop throughout the series, giving us more room to empathise with the bad guys and notice faults in the good guys. Few characters are thouroughly evil with no redeeming qualities, just as few characters are so perfectly angelic that we cannot discern a fault.

Hmm... there are a lot of characters.

Shishio Gen from Kekkaishi is one. I used to hate him cause he's kinda arrogant(kinda...) and kinda enemy-ish in character but as the series progress, I liked him and his personality. I was sad when he... had to say goodbye. :(

Well, there maybe others... Haru from KHR, I used to completely detest her cause she is annoying as hell("Tsuna-san is gonna be my husband" blech)... now I like her. I noticed that she only acts like an annoying, clingy jealous girl when Tsuna is around for her to fangirl to.When Tsuna isn't around and she's with Yamamoto, Gokudera or some other character, she just seems like she's a normal anime character. same with Gokudera, I usedto like him but he got annoying when he starts being too "obsessive" of his boss. But now, I like him again since he acts semi-normal when Tsuna isn't around. is Tsuna some kind of drug?

I can't think of the others as of the moment.

Ichimaru Gin, I used to despise him, but sort of respected him after he betrayed Aizen...

Sion Astal. From 'The Legend of Legendary Heroes' (Amazing how translation can mess up the anime title so badly...) When he slowly became the Mad King it sort of made him creepy.

I used to think L (Death Note) was the best thing I ever saw years back....until I saw Yang Wenli (Legend of the Galactic Heroes).

Yes, regarding their character there is a resemblance such as they're both very quirky geniuses which people underestimate. They have to play cat and mouse with another genius who's younger than them who wants to take over everything. They both have their likes such as L is obsessed with sweets, Yang loves his tea and brandy. But Yang is much more likable (and more developed). If you actually watch Legend of the Galactic Heroes you'll see why I noticed it and this resemblance between the two, and it is is more apparent later later on in the series.

I don't think there's been an anime yet that I've watched and not changed my opinion of someone (and I've seen almost 200 different series, movies, ovas, etc.)

I think the writers are clever in that they can get someone to fall in love with a character so easily, and then as a result of certain choices the character makes, or the circumstances, the same people grow to despise the very same character and vice-versa :)

Sorry for my little rant, haha. Moral of the story; yes, I've changed my opinion of hundreds of characters haha..

No, aliens are NOT cute. Well, that's my conceited opinion anyways. And, really? The characters in Gantz! were amazing. They felt real and vivid, rather than 2D sculptures. I tend to find beauty to be deeper inside people.

Quick! Which character has a far better (And more vivid) personality: The heroine from Kanokon, or the heroine from Ghost in a Shell?

Yes they are. Look at E.T. And Zim from Invader Zim. Though moe anime characters don't look like aliens. They look like dolls. A slightly larger head makes them look child-like which IS cute.

Yes, really. I hate the whole series.

I get that feeling from most anime characters, actually.

Well Ghost in the Shell, obviously but come on. Everybody knows Kanokon is complete garbage but you can't take one character from a moe genre, another character from a non-moe genre, compare them and say "all characters from the moe genre SUCK!!"
That's just.........brainless.
