Hey guys, I'm making my first post here because there's some things I want to say about this program.

I think the reviews have been pretty spot on about about the current state of the program. I really like using it but there are a few too many
limitations for it to be truely versatile.

1. Model poses are not fully posable. Rather than preset poses I think the user should be able to click and drag body parts. I think the preset poses are great, but there's been more than one time where I wanted a particular pose and all I had to do was adjust an arm or leg to get it. Since I can't I had to come up with an alternative with the tools I already have. It's a little disappointing not being able to use a particular pose because it's just not possible to do. If you use the preset models maybe as a foundation, and allow us to use this kind of feature, the possibilities are endless.

2. Depth is non-existent. The only way to create depth - I think this is the only way - is by eyeballing it, altering the size of the models accordingly, and adjusting the pose. Maybe create some sort of radial line tool where you can click and drag lines from a point so depth doesn't need to be eyeballed nearly as much.

3. 3D model interactions are limited. I can't place and arm behind a person and a leg in front of a model at the same time. This is because the program doesn't understand depth of two separate models near each other. I did however notice that attached items can go in front and behind each other. If we could "attached" other models to one another this may solve this issue. It seems that you can attach nearly every item to a 3D character, but you can't attach other 3D characters to each other.

4. I would also really like to see an ability to customize the shape of the camera frame of an item/ 3D character. This would allow us to make characters hide behind lamp posts, desks at odd angles, and walk behind a statue or something.

5. Not enough clothes/ character types / etc etc. I think this has been addressed repeatedly but it really is pretty bad.

Sorry for the long post but I really do like the program and I think if these features were implemented then it would greatly enhance the versatility of the program.

Thanks again! Your backgrounds helped out a lot. ^^
Can we still use the ones from your previous pack too legally? I liked a few images from there that I don't think are in the new one.

I just finished about 28 pages using this program. It's an ok first chapter but there's still some pacing issues to work out and some visual details. I'm only posting about the first 20 as the others still need some fine-tuning. You can see some of the pages seem a little odd as I was experimenting with different filters.

EDIT: Oh yes, this is my first attempt in this medium so don't be too critical ^^;

All the images in the packs are still OK to use freely, although some of them (those with file names like '4-1-01-a') require a reference if used. The only reason I had to take a bunch of them out was because the owners forbid redistribution.

Here is page 1 from chapter 2 of my series Zentoku no Hakkyou, and I post it here because I didn't need to post 12-pages long like chapter 1, which is a overkill of loading the page.

There are black and white cats you can choose from... But other than that no.

Updates! That's all we can hope for now.

I really wanted to love ComiPo! It looks like a fun program to create Manga with, and I was excited to see where the developers take it. However after reading Jason Thompson's review of the program, I have decided not to ever purchase this program, nor will I recommend it to anyone. Read his review here:

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/house-of-1000-manga/2011-09-15

And pay attention to the last section of the review about copyright issues, legality making any funds off your work, and the worst IMO, not making any comic that disturbs the "public morals". Yes ladies and gentleman, because we all live by the same code....let me tell you, I live in the Southern US, and well yea, enough said...sigh. If all you want to to is make comics to post to your facebook or share with friends in class/at work, go for it. For any other reason, I do not recommend this software at all!

If the developers of this software decide to remove their sad excuse for an EULA, I will happily buy and promote their product, but until that time, this is a no go.
