So I ended up being lazy... comipo is fun and fast, but the result is kinda limited. The biggest inconvenient seems to be the limit on poses. Would be good if there was method to tweak it. I heard English version can import 2D images. If you are looking for royalty free images, these sites are very useful. http://k-after.at.webry.info/ http://mao.sub.jp/index.htm They are both written in Japanese. But you can find images you want easily. The images are all royalty free and can be used for back ground images of your works. They are public domain and you don't have to show author or licensor. |

I really love this program and I'm already working on a comic series, but one thing I wish they would focus on now is 'rigging'. I heard someone else mention it before. I think the creators should focus on that right now and then release it for both JP and us.

Wow, thanks a ton for those links. There's some really great resources there! Tip: I would like to point out something. Notice how that last image looks rather pixelated? When you have a zoomed in/expanded image, you get that unpleasant effect. But you can still export a pretty image! In Tools > Preferences > 3D Setting, there is a "Export High Definition 3D" option. I assume it is disabled by default due to being a bit hardware-demanding, but if you enable it, you can get rid of that unpleasant pixelating effect. I have two images for demonstration purposes. The first is done normally, the second has Export High Definition 3D enabled. (Note that while actually working, the live preview will still show ugly pixelating, this only takes effect when you export.) ![]() And maybe you guys can help me here: how do you guys get the ID for using that "crimg" tag? Thus far, I've been uploading to my photo album and using the "img" tag to directly link them. I would much rather use that for compactness when writing posts... |

hekemoko! Thanks SO MUCH for the links to the copyright free background images!
YES, the English version can import 2D images, so I am checking these out now. So far, my favorites include The fast food restaurant! The spaceship bridge! Seriously, I strongly recommend that everyone check out http://k-after.at.webry.info/ http://mao.sub.jp/index.htm Thanks again! |

Here is another site that has backgrounds that we can use.
http://guttari8.sakura.ne.jp/index.shtml I do not know the rights on the images, but there are a lot. The images are under the 3D link buttons. Please share any other sites you may find with useable images. Also to the Japanese users, has anyone figured out a way to modify existing ComiPo files? Like if I wanted to edit the color of an existing piece of clothing or modify it in some way. Or would it be possible to make new clothing from scratch? |
