It might've been bad...but see here's the thing....it was in japan, the creator even had a hand in making it too. I give PGSM a pass here.

So I don't understand how that could've been worse than the english dub of Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon.

It was really cheese and silly but it was also made for little girls and you can see all of the work they put into it. I really enjoyed the live action and liked that it wasn't afraid to set itself apart from the original work. It took some balls to

Well, I guess we can all have our opinions. I can see where you're coming from, Squirrel. I grew up watching the dub and later watched some of the original with subs, so I understand what you mean by 're-learning the series'. However, I think thats part of the process of watching an anime again. I'm just really excited that someone has finally taken the initiative to relicense it after all these years. ^.^

Well as the poster above you said, it took a lot of guts to do some of the things that was done in that show that you never saw coming.

I was SO impressed with the new Sailor V/Sailor Moon releases. It's such a weird experience holding up the new Sailor Moon vol. 1 to the old Mixx version... not just nostalgia, but it shows how much manga has really changed over the years! The pages being flipped, the quality of the binding (I remember those old Mixx comics being notorious for having all their pages pop out if you bent them too hard).

And it's so nice knowing that the translation is more accurate. There are things I might have missed about the series that I'll now get to experience as a Sailor Moon fan, and that's amazing.

"might have"? You've missed quite a lot from the hack job that was done to the previous manga release.

Now yesterday I finally started reading Sailor V, because at the time I bought both of them, I was still reading *Michael Savage's first novel. So anyway, right off the bat I noticed....

- The manga seems more interesting and there was even a bit of a fanservice scene in one of the stories.

- Minako's mother is extremely angry all the time.

- I wish I had a crescent compact....I'm liking it already as a cool item.

- I can't put the manga down!! Already I'm halfway through it.

- Minako seems to be much hotter in the manga.

*Yeah that's right, I listen to him. Now I'm gonna get attacked....*

I said "might have" because I knew quite a bit about the manga second-hand from my own research on the series online after reading the original manga. I'm not ignorant of the changes.

Amen to this.

What a lot of people don't get is that PGSM took the direction that wasn't taken with the anime. I feel like if the Anime dared to go as dark as PGSM, it would be even more of a hit.

And now that I've been reading the manga, I am starting to recommend this over the anime period. I think any real sailor moon fan would read the redone manga to see the difference.

The Kodansha manga is excellent. I'm pleased with how they're keeping it as precise as possible.

I know, right? It also feels like there should be a reboot of the anime. Who agrees with me on this?

I absolutely do. I feel like, however, the latter seasons of the Original Sailormoon will need to be on TV at a later time or have some sort of parental advisory warning.

Pssh TC, I'm way ahead of you. Got all of them day one they were released on Amazon.

I actually liked the live action Sailor Moon. I disliked it at first, but as it went on I got really into it. What bugged me about it was that they advertised the outer scouts, and never actually got to that part of the storyline. :(

I think Sailor Moon needs a new game. The RPG on the snes was awesome, but I think a Dynasty Warrior version of Sailor Moon would be great. Another RPG is welcome as well.

:)
