You don't need an active internet connection to play, but it helps due to other players leaving messages, you seeing their blood stains to find out how they died and you can summon other players to help you if things get too tough.

Though it's also a double edged sword. other players can invade your world to kill you to get humanity and also make things hard on your trip to protected lands. (you know the one. That freakin' forest.)

Almost platinum, PVP takes most of time >.> (and I'm just 45 hours in the game)

But yeah funniest comics in Demon's Souls

Don't mind the left4dead name of the site, it's still about demon's souls (not DARK souls)

The moonlight butterfly was a let down even you melee (Which is just wait for it to do that ground explody attack and whack it for 2 hits)
But you got to admit, the shield it makes is awesome.

i love it! at last a recent game thats NOT short, too easy, boring and just terrible. right from the get go its hard and forces you to think about the different strategies you need to use, graphics are great but the story is awesome. i haven't even finished it yet but the story aswel as the game-play just makes you want to play more and when i do finish it, I'll continue playing it just to challenge myself and see if i missed anything or try other strategies. started as warrior class. after i complete it a few times I'll try enigma class.

So, for people that are far enough in the game or have beaten it already, how was your first fight with Ornstein and Smough? Did you guys have trouble, or was it fairly easy in your opinion?

I didn't have a hard time.. Died once (but it was because I wanted to kill Smough first to get Ornstein's armor)

Second time I summoned useless Solaire (he basically fought the two guardians outside the room the entire time lol), oh well for some reason the 2nd fight went smooth, only used 3 flasks..

Fatboy and Slim?
killed them first try. Though i used all my flasks for that fight.
And Solaire ain't that useless. I like the guy.
Too bad about you know what about him.

Annoying, I wanted to kill Ornstein first but its hard when you are a melee character who uses pretty much a short sword. Everytime I got in range of hitting him he would just fly around behind me or dodge.

I love that picture. Thanks for the funny comics by the way.

@cyan: I love Ornstein's armor. My advice for spellcasters would be getting iron flesh from Laurentius and killing Smough first. Super Ornstein still manages to have a small hit radius and poor tracking for his 'killing' moves.

Personally I killed Ornstein last because I wanted his armor. But he was a complete and true badass. Too bad his dragonslayer spear doesn't have some of his cooler moves as animations. i.e. Gliding Spear.

Isn't slim a woman?
Anyway, super Ornstein can oneshot you so better take caution when Smough is dead.
Or you could just summon a Sunbro.
There's bound to be several soul signs there. May the Sun guide you, fellow Undead.

No, Ornstein isn't. His ring and his spear even refer to Ornstein in male format. "It was said [his] lugged spear split a boulder in half" and "[he]" in the description of his armor. Trust me.

I've already beaten Ornstein and Smough myself, but thats good advice. The Sunbros definitely make boss battles less insufferable. I'm glad they implemented the convenant system. Made getting together with friends less of a chore.

It cracks me up whenever I see a sign "Imminent Fatty", at first I thought it was a joke or just someone messing with me.
