Who's more bitter after a break-up? Men, or women?

I saw this on SodaHead, so I was curious to find out the consensus in the CR community.

I mean, I don't expect there to be gender bias at all...

Both. Depends on who's cheating on who and who's the one breaking up. So it's more about the circumstances overall.

Left to personality alone I'd say women.

I don't have any experience on this though.

Both but women are more upfront about it I reckon. I guess it depends on the personality of the individual though, if they're laid back they might handle it in different ways.

Kinda difficult to answer since it depends on the individual and why they had to break up.

As we can all agree. It depends... mind you? Stay away from such articles. You givin me the idea you gettin a bit 'involved' on a personal note. Regardless of your standard, add me.

Like what the other comments say, it depends on who breaks up with who. Maybe it's women who are more bitter? I really don't know. =/

Uhm. The one who actually thought the relationship was going to last?

depends on who breaks up.
usually i would think its women, We are a bit more dramatic if you think about it. unless the guy really loved the women?

Personal note? You misunderstand me; I've been happily married for 7 years (it isn't perfect bliss, but it's pretty stable, versus the status quo). However, I find variations in human relationship dynamics fascinating.

How conceited of me... I apologize for the mixup.

Too many variables, honestly. Really depends if the guy or the girl spoilt the relationship, and who wouldn't be comfortable reverting back to 'just friends'.

I haven't had a very good time with relationships, so I'm pretty compelled to play Devil's advocate and say the women are most at fault. All the women I've had an interest in, dated, and summarily broke up with have had a tendency to become crossed despite my best efforts to revert back to friends. Nothing really pleasant or anything I want to talk about.

That'd be based on my own experience though and no factual statistic, so that has as much value as a handful of sand in the middle of the desert.

I don't think gender matters. It's dependant on the circumstances.
