Hi everyone, this is your news updater msc5490. I'm always on the look out for the latest songs, PVs, and news on all things vocaloid. I've been on a hiatus for a while, but I'll be posting anything and everything I find. However, I can't find everything on my own. Please feel free to update this news page, discuss topics, or just simply geek out about vocaloids whenever you wish. I look forward to meeting and talking with all of you. That being said let's get the ball rolling with the latest topic that has the entire vocaloid world buzzing, Vocaloid 3 featuring SeeU, the first Korean Vocaloid:

This perpetual 17 year old is 5'2" at 90lbs. Her voice was provided by Kim Dahee who is part of the K-pop girl group GLAM. As of today, three demos have been released for SeeU:

I = Fantasy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Td3s0aAqnUY&feature=player_embedded

Run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aujNsl-QGI8&feature=related

Shining Star http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRt9P9DD5pU

Look out for official debut/release on October 21st.

Now in addition to Korean, the new Vocaloid 3 voice banks will also include Chinese, Spanish. Look forward to an Updated Gumi plus two more characters/updates: Mew and Akikoroid-chan. Vocaloid 3 will also be the first program to feature full backwards compatibility with all previous voice banks.

With a plethora of new features, new members to the vocaloid family, and a rising star to possibly help bridge the harsh history between Japan and Korea, October 21st will be a date to look forward to. Until Next time, this is your boy with all things vocaloid, peace!

Hello my fellow vocaloid fanpeoples, this is your News Updater with the weekly update.

First, the latest and hottest news, CONCERT IN AMERICA!!! Yes, it has been awhile since Mikunopolis, and really this is not going to be a real concert but rather a simulcast of the new "Hatsune Miku Live Party 39's Live in Sapporo". However, you are free to applause and cheer however you wish. Here are the crunchyroll articles I am citing from:

http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2011/10/24-1/hatsune-miku-live-party-2011-event-scheduled-for-9-us-cities

http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-press-release/2011/10/24/live-viewing-japan-presents-a-special-hatsune-miku-event-for-one-night-only-in-9-major-us-cities-in-novemeber

Viewing is very limited here in the U.S., but if you can afford to go I definitely encourage you to see the brand new Miku concert, the following link will take you to the list of theaters and will include a link to the U.S. website. http://www.liveviewing.jp/contents/009_theater.html

Support the concert by going, show Japan that there is a market for Vocaloids here in the U.S. and who knows, maybe we will recieve more special viewings and, perhaps if we show how much we love Miku, another Miku concert.

Next, if you like "Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai" (There's no way my little sister is this cute) and you Like Miku, you will LOVE the new Hatsune Miku figure:

The following link will take you to the Crunchyroll article I am citing
http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2011/10/24/oreimo-illustrators-hatsune-miku-becomes-real-figure

about $103, it is set for release in March 2012

Next, The latest SeeU release and reception.

Now while it is still relatively early for any solid reviews, she has grabbed the most attention as well as created the most debate with her demos. Many are reluctant about this release of a Korean vocaloid in the same way people are somewhat against an American vocaloid (aside from Lola and Leon). Let's hope for the best for SeeU.

Finally, I will close with my new weekly song review: Happy Synthesizer

And here is the link to the song with subtitles
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilSR0CDRMmY

Now, I usually dislike vocaloid songs that make no real effort to mask the electronic sound, but as a techno song, I don't think it could sound any better. The melody of the song is definitely upbeat, techno, electronic, and unfortunately, sounds too much like so many other vocaloid songs I have heard. However, the lyrics really make up for it. A song for the hopeful romantics out there, it deals with one-sided love, the mixed feelings involved, and can be assumed by the happy tone melody to express general happiness with puppy love. Moreover, it really parallels this type of happiness and love with the electronic music you are listening to. However, whatever message you take from the song is completely up to you. On a 5 star rating, I give imagery a 3.5, voice quality 3.5, melody 2.5, lyrics 4.0, overall score is a 3.5. Its a great song, but it isn't really amazing. This song is bound to affect everyone different and create different opinions, but this is a good song, it could be better, but for what it is it is the best it could be.

Well guys, leave me any responses, post any news you find, and I will see you lovely divas and shotas later. Peace!

I always loved the artwork for Oreimou and I can't wait for the figure to come out. And you never now, they might have a special release at AX. Good luck on your test btw.
