Much nicer and easier to navigate than the old version. Plus, the black and grey layout is much easier on the eyes than the glaring white background the previous version had.

The only downside is that your queue will only show up to 10 anime shows that you have queued. I still have to go searching for new episodes for shows that aren't listed since I have more than 10 anime shows queued.

I heard there is new product called Roku 2 HD, Roku 2 XD and Roku 2 XS with WiFi? I don't have wifi at home

All of the recent Roku units (both the Roku 2, and the generation just before it) have WiFi, but on the Roku 2, only the XS has an Ethernet port, whereas on the previous generations, all models did.

can roku play 720p yet?
no point in HDMI if it looks as good as on a cell phone
I do want an internet tv though

All of the Roku 2 models and previous generation can play 720p (and most models can do 1080p), but the last I heard, CR still wasn't providing anything better than 480p encodes for the Roku.

That is one reason I still use the computer attached to my HDTV for viewing on Crunchyroll, but the Roku XD|S provides me with great 720p on Netflix. (It might provide 1080p from there, but I have an older 1366x768 720p HDTV).

I used to do both. Roku has provided me with a better "at home" experience than the laptop has. However, they take about an hour after airing to watch it on the Roku. With Netflix, HuluPlus, and Crunchyroll, I don't have a need for cable.

Any news on the Xbox 360 app? Some of us would like to see Crunchyroll there too!

How about getting an actual app out for WD TV Live Hub, instead of that horrible Flingo crap that provides trash picture quality. *sigh*

I love the new Roku interface. My only gripe is I wish the Queue listed all my titles instead of just 10.

I believe that Crunchyroll is limited to 480p on the Roku. I watch it on my 57-inch HDTV, and it looks great. I'd say it's comparable to DVD quality. Hopefully they'll eventually upgrade to 720p. But for now, the 480p looks fine on my TV.

I highly recommend the Roku to anyone that wants to watch Crunchyroll on their TV. It's a great device. Lots of features, easy to use and very affordable.

@tbdave & endosanity:
I noticed the limitation as well and reported it as a bug. I got a response from CR that they were upping the Queue title size to 50 entries for the Roku, so hopefully your experience will be (a bit) better soon. I'm traveling for the next few weeks so I won't have a chance to see if the app update has been deployed until late next week.

the new app is a great improvement over the old one. It lacks only the ability to add to your queue from the roku box, rather then having to use the website.

I'll have to check it out. Do you have to remove and re-add the app, or does it update automatically?

For anyone who does not have a Roku box. Get one, you will not regret it. This will make your anime and crunchyroll experience better then you can imagine. I love the application, I just had to all all of my shows to my qeue but other then that I love the new interface. Good job!

I preferred the look of the old app, but the new netflix inspired one works.

So far the only things I really don't like about it, which some dislikes actually applied to the old one as well, are:

1) The que is too short, but it seems that will be fixed or already has been. Honestly, I haven't checked to see whether it was or not yet.

2) You have to go into the anime search to get to the current simulcast. I would prefer it if it had the current anime and drama simulcasts on the main section, as well as the "search the anime or drama" sections.

3) The current anime simulcast is missing the newest one, Squid Girl, atm. It also has older ones on there like We Without Wings, etc.

4) Randomly, when you go to click on an anime, it will take you back to the Roku homepage. It doesn't happen often, but just enough to be annoying. It seems to happen mostly on the current simulcasts. Possibly it's trying to update itself when you click on it and it cancels out? I don't know.

5) It would be nice if you could see a better description or at least the full description of the anime. Usually, you can only see part of it so when it comes to finding a new one to watch, you still have to come back to the website to see what each is about.

While I wish the app was a little better, I still love watching CR on my Roku.
