yeah, i got what the ?? in the first post was for...what i was getting at is why is it seemingly taking so long for CR to roll out the info on this seasons releases especially since the new anime season starts Monday. i would have expected to know of more titles by now. which is why i wrote "anything else"

You've been a member long enough that you should recall Crunchyroll hasn't always announced titles days before they premiere. It isn't as if waiting to the last minute is going to change what they have or haven't licensed.

Based on when they announced Squid Girl 2, and Hunter x Hunter, it suggests we can expect further titles to be announced the day before they premiere.

Only two other titles, and Working'!! premiered today. The former is from a studio whose titles thus far have ended up with Funimation. The latter was unlikely for CR, as CR didn't obtain the first season, and that has since been licensed by a DVD distributor in the United States.

Digimon Xros Wars: Toki o Kakeru Shounen Hunter-tachi and Cross Fight B-Daman are next to premiere (tonight, in terms of the time in the United States). The former is a sequel to a series CR did not obtain a license to, so it is unlikely. The latter is TV Tokyo, but I have my doubts CR will license it, due to the apparent target age group, as well as the likelihood TV Tokyo could license it to a distributor for dubbing and broadcast.

That leaves Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle as the next unlicensed title up, premiering early tomorrow in terms the time in the United States. Being a Sunrise, series, this could be handled by Bandai, in which case CR might get it, but probably late, like Sacred Seven.

The tl;dr version:

Don't anticipate any further announcements until tomorrow, and you shouldn't be disappointed.

I'm sorry that my comments have been so taken to heart; it was not meant to disturb anyone. I was just expressing my own curiosity in wanting to knowing was CR was going to air this season. I didn't realize that it would be problematic for others that I did so. I will refrain from commenting further. Sorry to have troubled anyone.

Dear Crunchyroll,

Make this available in Denmark. I beg of you! It's been my favorite anime and manga for years, going way way back, and I was so happy to see it come to Crunchyroll, which I've been a paying member of for a long time. But I am very disappointed over the continuous lack of release in Denmark. Makes me really consider unsubscribing as I could get pretty much all the features I have as a paying member as a non-paying one as well. I also don't see how Yoshihiro Togashi's newer series "Level E" was available in my country when a series as old as Hunter X Hunter isn't. I know the lenght of the two are very much different, as is the genre, but the author and the IP (Intellectual Property) Holders are the same, being Shueisha and their magazine Weekly Shonen Jump.

I really hope the series on Crunchyroll will start getting worldwide releases more, just as much for new additions as the present ones.

It isn't a problem, otherwise I would not have replied at such length.

I tend to take people literally, so I apologize if I mistook something you meant only rhetorically.

Hopefully you or someone else found the information of some benefit.

Love Hunter x Hunter but don't think I'm going to bother. Already seen the original, several times, and can always watch it again if I wanted to. Maybe I'll watch come Spring 2013 when they catch up, if they even get that far.

Sure there is a lot of people looking forward to it, though, so it's good CR got it.

Oh please...lots of new series but either not showing in Finland (which happens mostly on the ones I would be interested) or then they're just crap that I don't want to watch

I think more anime in the UK is good, but AoD is a shitty service. They never update their site, it's hard to navigate, they often update their episodes late, they often don't even check if their episodes are uploaded properly. I would support AoD if it was actually a decent company, but it's not. I would rather Crunchyroll got all the shows in the UK.

AoD is not ready for release yet, search Google and you'll not find it (they have no SEO), they are keeping it very low profile (no advertising etc) whilst they work out all the kinks, you can also watch all the anime without paying until they get it ready for prime time.

Now, look at the long term issues, if AoD proves to be popular (hopefully it will, ANN forums have over 600k members) you may end up getting the major broadcasters (BBC/Sky etc.) to take a second look at anime in general, you also have (from what I've read) dubbing being done over here rather than the same 20 Americans with annoying voices and no range/personality, that too will +1 it for interest from TV channels.

Then you can get straight down to the fairness, CR gives a fixed rate for everyone, no matter which country you're in, so if they bring out 10 shows and region lock 5, we're paying the same as US members for 50% of the content, with AoD you're able to watch 100% of the content they have and will have in the future.

But, finally, posting on this site about problems with AoD isn't productive, they have their own forums where you can read up on what they are doing to the site, there is even a suggestions thread with a ton of suggestions which you can add to and the people there do respond.

Well, if they make a decent site then sure, I'll support them, but right now, crunchyroll is what I want. Now your thing about us getting 50%. I recon a big reason we only get around 50% is because AoD is taking the rest. I don't like dubs, so I don't care about them though your probably right, it's because the American dubs suck. I've posted some suggestions on their site, I hope one day they will do some of them.

I also don't like paying for two sites at the same time.

Maybe one day I'll move to japan and just watch them on TV lolz.

Well, if it is just a remake, then I probably won't be too much in a hurry to watch. It would be nice to just see a sequel, but ah well.

i hope you get a worldwide license for this. most current hxh fans are not from english-speaking countries (but of course they understand english well and would subscribe to CR if hxh is made available to them)
