Dude! Crunchyroll got this show?!?! I hope so because this show kicks ass! I can't wait to see how it compares to the earlier anime and manga! I hope madhouse did this show justice.

The character art and voice acting is pretty much the same. The storyline has been gutted of detail so far though. So a mix of good and bad.

They just look out all the unnecessary parts nothing bad about that

They took out considerably more then that. I think if they only covered 1/2 to 3/4 of what they did it would of been much, much better. I really liked the dramatic impact of the original's "It's a job worth abandoning your son for" much more then this warp-speed version. And if someone could let them know that they don't *have* to run the contrast at max that would be great.

I'm also mixed about the music. The OP definitely has a bit of HxH feel to it, but something's just off a bit. I'll have to give the ED a few more viewings before I decide if I love it or hate it...

thats just dumb I have read the manga they are going more toward that then the old anime that had a lot of unnecessary things in the beginning of it

As for the opening and ending they are perfect I really like them

OMG what have they done to this series i am completely upset due to this remake if your gonna remake something that was awesome then don't mess with the original character creation of the original. first off gon's boots are not all green the bottom half is green however the top half of the boots where originally brown second off is kurapika his original outfit was two pieces and the over tabor was originally blue and gold and the front and back of the tabor was connected to each other with a piece of elastic by the waist area and he uses chains not wood sticks that there really pisses me off to no end and as for leorio his brief case is just solid leather brown plain not this checkered diamond crap i hope one day the animators read this and realize what they did wrong and how they hurt the many fans of hunter x hunter

I completely agree with you. They took out stuff that made the old anime slow and retained what was necessary to move the plot forward without sacrificing whatever character development you can have in 2 eps. In two episodes we know the same thing, Gon can see in the dark and has super senses and that he has this natural affinity for 'creatures.' Kurapika is damn smart and a smart-ass and so much closer to the boy that he is in the manga. Leorio, I confess, I like what they've done here so far. He annoys me less. They play up the fact that he's less badass but is a darn good doctor. Which I like.

EDIT:
I'm in the process of re-reading my HxH manga (it's been so long) and boy are they following it big time. The only major thing the anime took out was Kaito's part. While watching the second ep. I was trying to remember if Kurapika also heard the people in the creepy town and apparently he did. (Leorio: Well excuse me for having normal hearing... Lol. )

So far 4 manga chapters, 2 episodes. Can't wait.

Um the original anime changed the designs the new one is the original designs from the manga. Just sayin'...

EDIT: And anyway the designs for the clothes shouldn't dictate whether or not the series is ruined...
