ONLY WATCH EPISODE 13 IF
1) your bored
2) your a really hard core fan
3) You want to hear the remix of the OP at 16:00
4) Your new to the series and need a quick catch up , but don't won't to be bogged in the details.

If none of these apply to you, just skip episode 13 it's a recap episode , its not needed this early in the series. I could understand maybe after the whole exam was over (which would at this point probably be episode 20ish i'm guessing). That would have been a MUCH MUCH MUCH better time. It 1 allows a week break between story arcs, and 2 allows new comers to easily get into the series at a time just before the new arc is going to begin. My point is PUT recaps at the end of arcs , not half way in the middle (unless were talking a super long arc that last like 10 Vols. then thats an exception)

I loooveddddddd the original one, so even though this new one is more detailed like some people are saying, i feel they are going a bit slow paced (like ep 14 just showed their numbers huh). Maybe i feel this way coz i already know what's going to happen next and i want them to release like 10 episodes each week :P

Then i ask myself, why am i still wathing it..........?

The answer is simply coz I LOVE HUNTER X HUNTER

It looks a bit better than the usual Anime. I love it though. But the music theme is just so weird. The old one has a better sense of humor. But hopefully it'll reach the current arc in the Manga.

Togashi is a genius. If only he remake Yu Yu Hakusho instead...

FULL ED is now available guys check it out!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06DL8TvtDWE

AWESOME Episode 15 , still sticking true to the manga. And with this episode they are finally done volume 3 of the manga. If they continue to follow this speed of 15 episodes per 3 volumes of manga they will be up to 50 episodes when they get to volume 10 or so. 100 when they get to volume 20, and 150 when they get to volume 30. So this is a great speed they are going at, plennty of episodes thanks to this speed and no need to worry about have the season being filler

that sounds about right and since the series is doing well in japan it probably will get renewed (at this point its only been confirmed as 45 episodes but more will come if it succeeds)

I don't really have many issues with the new soundtrack unlike many others. I did like the old one better, but this new on is decent...

Speaking of soundtracks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNHZ1N5JEcQ I thought this was cool. The old sountrack made it that much more epic.

The soundtracks of the first HxH were gold.
The new ones are just meh.

Although I'm digging the ending song.

I liked ep 15, it looks like the show is begining to pick up on its darker tone, as in the preview for next week you can see hisoka's kill face.

I'm getting used to the ost, as the right tracks are being used at the right time, but there is room for improvement.

I haven't seen the original series, or read the manga, but I'm liking the 2011 version so far.
It's a bit weird, but it's warming up to be a pretty good anime. (Especially from the talk of the older series, and the manga.)

Judge Fudge originally posted this on http://www.narutoforums.com/showthread.php?t=46413&page=148 and was translated by Mr. Toto. http://www.narutoforums.com/showthread.php?t=795532&page=9

Interview with the director of the new anime.

Hunter × Hunter Anime Director: "I'm happy to hear the general response to the new series, criticism included. From here is where it starts to get really interesting"

Anime Questionnaire: "Hunter × Hunter" From here is where it starts to get really interesting

Tell me, what's the series about and what's so charming about it?

The main character, Gon, after being abandoned by his own father, has yearned to become a "Hunter." Since aiming towards the job, he meets various people and overcomes many trials; it's a coming of age story. Its principles of morality and views on "bad things" are much different from the norm. It's also become a profound work in which a lot of characters can enter the story and each speak in ways incredibly deep.

When adapting the work into animation, what essence of the series was the most important to depict?

Because the original manga first started being published 13 years ago and since the first Hunter x Hunter animated series ended 7 years ago, we made this series because we wanted people who don't know about "Hunter x Hunter" (especially children) to see its charm. Of course, we've had to avoid some grotesque imagery. However, we were especially careful not to ruin the atmosphere present in the original work.

What makes you happiest about being able to create this work? And the opposite--is there anything difficult about it?
Since the original work is fairly well known, sometimes I get comments after it's been animated. I've been quite happy to hear the general response to the new series, criticism included; I feel as if it's a difficult work to do again. I'm a bit worried as to whether or not we'll have to alter the unavoidable grotesque imagery from hereafter.

Please leave a brief message for the readers.
In the Hunter Exam arc, Gon at his core seems like he'd belong in a typical Shonen anime series. But after the Zoldyck Family and the Phantom Troupe are introduced, the ambiance changes. And I think from here is where it starts to get really interesting. I would be happy if you would watch the show with a long-term view.
