Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere
Legal subs will air on Tuesdays, starting October 4th, via Hulu.com and TheAnimeNetwork.Com. Note: The legal subs are only available for North American viewers. This is also a delay cast by ~3 days. As for fansubs, there are no groups as of yet willing to fansub this series due to unfamiliarity with terminologies in the Light Novels and it seems to be a challenge to subtitle. Anyways... Series information. Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere Plot Summary: Set in a distant land, Japan is divided into feudal territories, yet conquered by outside countries, the city Musashi that will ignite the flame of battle is being targeted and has no choice but to keep its people safe by entering this war, with the fate of the world resting on its hands, the students of Musashi may hold the key to victory. Wikipedia's Summary: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide In the far future, humans abandon the devastated Earth and move to the upper world "Tenjo". But Tenjo and the law of causation collapse by a war and humans returns to the Earth, which has turned into an inhabitable planet except for Shinshu area. Shinshu is too small to accommodate all the humans, so they duplicate the area and create "Juso Sekai". In order to rebuild Tenjo and the law of causation, the returned humans start reproduction of history from B.C. 10,000. When the reproduction completes until A.D. 1413, a war breaks out in Shinshu and Juso Sekai falls onto the original world. The humans living in Juso Sekai lose their land and invade the original world. People in Shinshu surrender and is divided by the invaders from Juso Sekai. They try to resume the history reproduction from A.D.1457, but the update of history terminates in A.D.1648. A rumor of apocalypse begins to spread around the world. Opening Theme: "TERMINATED" by Minori Chihara Ending Theme: #1: "Stardust Melodia" by -Side Horizon- Ceui #2: "Pieces" by -Side Ariadust- AiRI More information here. Regarding the first episode, I viewed it entirely in raw due to my impatience. The main characters aren't shown but from my understand, it involved a teacher and some students. Judging from the summary, these characters are in preparation for something... or they were having a lesson. Nonetheless, despite my lack of understanding the series, I found the first episode highly entertaining due to the huge casts of females and interesting "powers" that are within this show. The characters seem interesting and this show seems to have an interesting premise. Not much can be said as of now due to the lack of subs. SEASON 2 DISCUSSION LINK |

Obligatory copy-pasta, UTW I used to like you
:Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Oh man. OH MAN. DOES HORIZON SUCK. Like, man. This plot—no, no, wait, I’m getting a Null Pointer Exception. Oh that’s right, THERE IS NO COW LEVEL PLOT. I mean seriously, this show is devoid of any comprehensible storyline until the last minute, and even then it’s impossible to figure out how the past 23 minutes (which consisted of a teacher running away from her {(I.S. + Nanoha) / 2}-like spellcaster-mecha students, beating them up, beating some demon gangsta dude up, then beating the crap out of the main character (who also happens to be the main character of seitokai no ichizon) while some old man and a secretary watch) are remotely related to the explanation just given, save the random “Holy Calendar Year X” things that pop up. Oh right, and I still don’t really understand where they got their uber mecha-tech from or how it works. I mean the archer girl had some shrine maiden chibi mascot go fetch her buffs for her shots via teh intarwebz in exchange for working part-time shifts there and bribing the chibi with cake or something. Seriously though has anyone seen this yet? Maybe someone who can understand elevenese and has watched the raw. Is it really as bad as people say? I was quite looking forward to this serious since MC has a really punchable face. Anyway I will give it a chance and watch one ep at least, expecting Infinite Stratos Mk II. |

Meh, not watching raw. Maybe horrible subs? UTW is subbing Cube, which makes whatever negative statement about any other show this season pure hypocrisy.

I know right, I have now lost faith in fansubbing community...Seriously you don't need 5, Yes FIVE groups doing some generic tsundere shit. Honestly its not bloody difficult to understand the C3 routine: Guy lives alone, mysterious girl appears, Panty shot, bad service plastered everywhere, ECCHIIIIII!!! URUSAI! You get the jist. Anyway, UTW rants aside, looks like I will have to wait for HS to rip the delayed-simulcast subs or something... |

Fansubbers aren't subbing the show because they don't have knowledge about the Light Novels. From what I heard, the Light Novels themselves are about 700 pages each and are very thick books. The best thing to do is wait for rips of the legal sub but I think it still requires extensive knowledge of the original novel.

But from what I saw in the raw, he seems like a likeable character. His actions are hilarious too. There's an error in my initial impression since the main characters were shown but they didn't have a major appearance. Still ought to be interesting to learn about them. Also, SUBS FUKKEN WHEN?!? Tommorrow... The wait is killing me. I'm just watching it for the ladies... and some plot. I can't get enough of DAT PLOT. The female character designs are a bit ridiculous though - huge boobies on most of the females. Weird hair design too but not as weird as the ones from Shiki. The action wasn't superb but it proved to be something entertaining. |

"even though mayo chiki isn't all bad" I am actually interested by this anime..fan-sub groups troll all the time although hmm.. I think doki might pick this up if not.. then eh.. I will wait and see. I don't have any money to watch the series right now and hulu is just eye-cancer .. dammit cr pick up the slack already. |

Oh there`s probably some rippers out there that will "do" it :P
From ANN at least. Oh and there are very small groups that most don`t know of that might do it. Those that you won`t find on any fansub wiki. |

In the old days they missed references all the time and most of them claim to not care about what we think so I wonder if that's really an excuse. GG claimed it was the tits, but they subbed Blue Exorcist and that was shonen-ai brainless fest. At least HS has the thing up there soon after the streaming, so it's not that bad.

There was no BL, but plenty of implications. Which makes it shonen-ai in my book. |

Judging from the cast it seems to be harem, which is slightly strange since all Sunrise shows have had elements of homolust in them. I can take a bit of "implications" if the plot is good enough tough. |

FANSUBS ARE OUT NOW BY THE GROUP HADENA. I've heard bad things about them but IDGAF because I just want to enjoy it. Inb4trollsubs though. Happy viewing (if it's a legit sub.) |

They say this show is unsubbable. Any idea why? And I haven't seen any release of Hadena but I know of their bad reputation. I heard this show is very confusing (?) so I'll wait for quality subs instead. |

Whyyyyyy???I got their stuff for C3 when it came out, I will never forget retarded lines such as "I whisper while I have my eyes opened and have my eyes closed"...Seriously what does that even mean? And its not trollsubs, they are just simply incompetent, a bit like Doki. If anyone cares about quality you might want to wait for the official release or HS later. But DLing anyway, i've waited long enough for this. Edit: Lol i just came across something extremely funny in their irc channel and screencaped it, thought i'd share. |
