Kimi to Boku.

I hope this won't turn into a BL anime. The first episode is okay. A scene with a girl in it was continuously flashed throughout episode one.

But then again... I really hope this won't turn into a BL anime.

Tehe. I'm reading the manga and I really like it.. I'm happy it's an anime now, too. ^_^
Can't wait to see a specific manga chapter as a episode.. I forgot which chapter though.

Im not going to lie, I was coming into this anime ready to bail on it, but for some reason.....Im staying.

Its like the male version of K-ON, without the funny...well....not as much....it did have its moments.

I actually liked the whole sleeping in the middle scenes.

And we got twins.....as soon as I saw them, I immediatly thought of Ouran High School....

Episode 2.

That bitch... She had the nerve... That shallow bitch...
Anyway. I'm not liking the "protagonist", the tranny, at all.

The 3 other boys though. I love them.

I loved it. There, I said it. I loved it, and I still can't wait for Tachibana. The characters are relatable, the situations are charming, the art and the music give it a realistic, attractive appeal.

He just has long hair, but he actually wears a boy's school uniform and has a voice too deep for a typical girl, so I wouldn't call him a trap at all. He gets a haircut later, looks so much better.

There is a troupe in anime called “cute girls doing cute things” and seems to be mostly directed at male otaku. This show has cute boys doing cute things but for the life of me I can’t see this being interesting enough for any audience. The biggest question that arises from this show is ‘why?’ Why does Yuki have to join a club? Why are there cats spliced into different scenes? Why should I care about these characters?!

As a guy who doesnt usually go for these types of shows (shonen-ai) - had it been all girls, or mostly girls Id like it better - I found the first episode funny. Its definitely "cute boys doing cute things" which I think adds to the humour of the show.

I like it partly because I am sure there are hundreds (if not thousands) of guys who tried to watch and got seriously uncomfortable, and that just makes my inner-troll giggle.

Anyway... Littlelostkitten, I turn the question around and ask the same thing in regards to "cute girls doing cute things"... why? Why should I care if the girls are squeeing over the peach jello, and taking pictures and spazzing over one of the girls little brothers? *looks pointedly at Tamayura Hitotose*

I mean, I do, I love Tamayura, dont get me wrong, but its about as plotless as Kimi to Boku. It's slice-of-life therefore plotless.

But it has a very shounen-ai overtone to it. Im not knocking-it. I think its funny, and that right there will make me watch it. Shun kinda weirds me out though. I am not the type of guy that gets bothered by stuff like that either. I'll will watch and enjoy stuff other guys get all creeped out over lol.

I dunno... i think they should have made Shun a girl instead of a reverse-trap.. xD

Haven't watched any episodes, and before I start the series, I want to know...are there any girls in this story?

I really liked Nichijou as a slice of life because it had a nice balance of male/female, even though the main characters were all female; I started with the OVAs of Tamayura Hitose, and I see that it is mostly female in the story, so I am enjoying it less. So, are there any females, and if so, do you think there is a good ratio of them, in Kimi to Boku?

Yes there are two girls so far. Theres Sato who is kinda-sorta-not-really Shun's love interest, shes a tiny tsundere girl which is a prefect fit for the girly Shun (I think so anyway lol). And then theres the childhood friend of the glasses guy (Kaname I think). Cant remember Her name though though as she just showed up in #4.

Its definitely more of a focus on the boys. The two girls are side characters right now. I am hoping for some romance to develop between the boys and the girls though.
