I was once a premium due to exceptionally wide coverage in Finland. I am premium no more.

So long, and thanks for all the fish. I can only find it ironic, that the subscription cancellation message would say:

"Thank you for your gracious support of Crunchyroll. It really goes a long way to help revolutionize the way Asian media is viewed around the world!"

Indeed. Perhaps, if the coverage improves, I shall reconsider subscribing, but as it stands now, if none of the series I desire to watch are available, then what am I paying for?

How nice of you to also cancel my premium access immediately, instead of allowing me my allocated time. Though, I am not mighty miffed due to my billing date being tomorrow.

Yes i am aswell considering unsubcription... What i find annoying aswell is that there is no response from the admins or anyone that they are even sorry that they leave out paying customers from seeing the series

So what is the over/under on getting season 1 of Working!! and Fate/Stay Night since you grabbed the second season like with Natsume and Hayate no Gotoku?

I like these releases, I just wish we could get the original works.

The thought keeps crossing my mind. Will wait and see it things change during the next few days, if they stay the same then I shall take my wallet and vote on something else.
If nothing else, a simple response from CR that they are sorry for this crap would go a long way.
As it looks now CR will end up loosing members, since I don´t think we are the only members that are miffed by this.

Aww crap, I really wanted Fate/Zero! >_<;

Grats on getting your hands on this for those territories that applies though. ^^;

edit: guess I'll see if i can see it though nicodouga, though they'll only stream the latest episode for a week... ^^;

edit2:
If you're not allowed to see it at crunchy, you can try here: http://ch.nicovideo.jp/channel/fate-zero
1st episode at Nicovideo: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/1317450438

... but I'd still prefer good ol' crunchy :p

Getting the first series of Working!! will probably be even more difficult than Hayate no Gotoku!, since the former has already been licensed in the U.S. and Canada, while I don't believe the latter was. That aside, as I recall, Hayate no Gotoku! was already over by the time CR managed to secure limited rights for the first season. By contrast, Natsume was unlicensed, and the rights were secured at the same time as the simulcast, as has happened with other series.

When it comes down to it, it all depends on whether NIS America would allow streaming of the first series or not. Crunchyroll might be able to convince them it would be a valuable promotional tool. NIS on the other hand, might see it as cannibalizing DVD sales. In the end, if NIS is against it, Crunchyroll's hands are tied.

As to CR getting F/SN, the problem is much the same, and assuming this original Geneon title isn't currently held by Funimation (which would kill any chance of CR streaming it), there is the problem with dealing with Geneon Universal back in Japan. If you don't see the final Shakagan no Shana series streaming anywhere (as it is in Japan), you can probably trace to reason back to Geneon Universal.

Frankly, I don't see CR has as much "obligation" to try and get FS/N, as despite being the later series, Fate/Zero is the prequel, not the sequel.

In other related news:

Fate/Zero is going to be two split seasons, Fall 2011 and Spring 2012:

That makes at least two series this season that are already scheduled to be split.

Well then, you should just keep watching it on niconico then! Enjoy the crappy video quality and the postage stamp screen! Goody for you.

Me, I'll wait a week for the higher quality (720p) and the full screen.

IMO, NIS would be smart to make their series available on streaming sites for the premium subscribers. We pay the premium, which means we have money and are likelier to buy the DVD's. In my case, I haven't bought the first season simply because I have no way to legally preview it.

Your mistaking me for someone who cares about the legality of anime. I have no problem with paying to watch a legal stream that comes out in a reasonable time frame (ie before fansubs) and in reasonable quality (480p+), but if that's not an option I'll look elsewhere.

Given that you are a premium member here, I believe you can see where that would be an easy mistake to make.

In other news, I note the just announced simulcast of Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi 2 is not being delayed. I wonder if this is an exception to the one week delays of Kadokawa series, or if Crunchyroll has managed to convince them that was not a good plan. I suppose we will have to wait for another Kadokawa series to be announced for a clear indication.

I'm thinking the Fate/Zero delay may have something to do with Aniplex (?) Aren't they partnered/owners of the Niconico.com site. They would want it running first on their channel ---- maybe.... (not sure about this..)
