Do you know if they dubbed or subbed it yet? Fate/Stay Zero is reasonable since Fate/Stay Night was more popular and well known than Wagnaria. They should post the first season of Wagnaria for at least maybe 2 weeks and take it down that way we can catch up at least.

As nyou noted, the DVD set is out, and is subtitled only. I am not certain NIS America even does dubs.

Negotiating with NIS would take time, and even if CR were successful, the season would likely be over before they were successful, and NIS could likely only grant the rights for the U.S. and Canada. CR would then need to go back to the source to obtain the rights for whatever other countries they could. As I mentioned in another message, this situation is very similar to when CR simulcast Hayate no Gotoku!!. It took quite some time to get the rights to stream Hayate no Gotoku! (the first series), and then more time to expand the regions it was available to.

Given the choice between CR not getting Wagnaria! S2 alone, as they did, or not getting it at all because they could not get the first series, which would you prefer?

Since the first episode of Fate/Zero already came out last weekend that means crunchyroll will be behind and episode. So shouldn't you guys come out with episodes 1+2 on Saturday?

Unfortunately, Nico Nico seems rather protective about having series to themselves for the first week. (As you may recall, that was the case with all the Kadokawa titles last season, and likely will be again).

In the event you are unaware, Nico Nico works almost exactly the opposite of CR. There the episodes are available to everyone for the first week, but only available to premium users after that.

I would choose to have them release it. That way those who already seen season one could continue. I'll just have to buy season one when I get the free funds to do so. Thanks for the information, you're always very informative and I appreciate it.

WAGNARIA!!2 ZOMG! I loved the first season, and I was thoroughly excited when I heard the second season was coming out, and thoroughly depressed that I did not have legitimate access to it. I would have to wait forever for NIS to license it Stateside.

Crunchy Roll is super leet!

Where are all these Netherlanders coming from? Only Ghasts and Zombie Pigmen live there.

Maybe because it is again a bad season for us...

Heck if you look at it, our only legal source is import from the US [eng subs with jpn sound] (maybe UK) and if you look at that, why would it be so hard to licence for the Netherlands... The only option left is fansub cuz we can't wait on dvd/bd releases these days with all the streams available.

Maybe one day the they will release region locking only hurts legit consumers and makes people resort to fansubs until then all the people with regional locking could use a proxy to bypass it and gain access to all the series you can't watch.

At least we know that NIS isn't totally against letting other sites stream their videos, seeing as how they let ANN stream Toradora!, Persona Trinity, Our Home's Fox Deity. and Pandora Hearts. Hmmm, they recently had them take them down, a possible new streaming contract with CR?? I'd be quite happy about it if so.

Delaycasts aren't worth watching

But they're still better than streaming stuff that hasn't been licensed yet. I'm sure the folks at CR do the best they can. I have a feeling negotiations for more shows are still under way, otherwise we would already have a lineup page like for last season.

Glad to see Fate/Zero on Cr. I had been planning on checking it out on Nico Nico Douga, but I don't think the comments will be necessary, like a few of the shows that appeared exclusively on NicoNico.com last season.

And where does the money go from my subscription, hopefully it won't go to the company's of anime's I can't watch.

This is actually an interesting point, CR. Is the number of subscriptions from a particular country a good indication of the selection of anime that then becomes available in that region? I have a feeling it's not as simple as that, but if it is then I strongly urge more people to sign up for premium membership.

I was hoping Crunchy would get Fate/Zero. AWESOME! I have the first season of Working!/Wagnaria on DVD. It's nice that I can start watching the second season immediately after I watch season one. Thanks, Crunchy! (You're expanding my backlog...again... )

@finneas
No I don't think so. Of course the more memberships they have the more they can afford to spend on each license, but CR basically wants to be able to stream everything everywhere. If it is not available in a certain region, it is not due to lack of trying on CR's side but from the licensor. They might believe they can possibly get a higher bid from a distributor in that location or various other reasons, but I don't believe that there is ever a point where CR does not try to get the streaming rights for everywhere.... Just my take from reading between the lines on everything that's ever been said on the subject.

Move bitches. Here's Fate/Zero available in my region. I was so pessimistic about that happening.

Awesome! Already watched the first episode of Fate/Zero on Niconico but as others have mentioned the quality isn't there, might be different if you are a premium member but I don't know. Looking forward to watching it here on CR! Looking forward to Wagnaria too, enjoyed the first season.

You will have to work harder to get wordlwide rights to your series. I am seriously considering not renewing my subscription to your site if most series are not available in my region.
