Nodame Cantabile
Ef: A Tale of Memories
Lovely Complex
Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei
Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora
Minami-ke

I really want to see them but I don't want to watch them on some sketchy website with crappy quality video. If they were on Crunchyroll I wouldn't mind but they aren't. And I'm a big fan of watching anime on my TV and always prefer a DVD/Blu-Ray when I can get one. Also these series seem popular enough so I'm surprised they haven't come to the US.

I really enjoy anime. So why would I steal from the people who provide me with the thing I love so much? I prefer supporting the people who make anime by buying the DVD or watching it some other legitimate way.

By downloading anime illegally you are only hurting the industry. If everyone downloaded anime then they wouldn't make any money on it and would have to stop releasing it in America altogether.

So if I have to wait I'll wait because illegally watching anime is certainly not going to bring it to DVD any sooner.

znt and higurashi where dropped and anime goes by sales in japan not here "although keeping licnese is differnt" I am not innocent but if there isn't any-other way then that's what I do. If you want to see an anime here get fans interested, sitr up with people like fuin, sentai, bandia, media blasters, nisa etc Let them know that people are willing to buy it despite the little to know interest for it. I import dvd's/games myself all the time as well to make my self feel a bit better but eh games/dvd's go out of print and then become hard to find. Two all my all favorite series "kurenia and dennou coil" will never see the light of day in amercia ..tch

It certainly is understandable to watch anime online when you know it will never make it to America. So I really don't blame you. It's just not something I think I could do. And that's a good idea contacting the licensors I'll have to do that.

This article has some very good discussion (mostly in support of fansubs) and gives you a logical approach to viewing unlicensed anime here in the States.

About 15 volumes of the original Nodame Cantabile manga were released by Del Rey. Unfortunately, I heard it didn't sell... I suspect the only way it might get a legit release again would be through services such as JManga.

I know Anime Works planned to release season one of Zetsubou Sensei. But I can't find it currently available on any retail site. I suspect it was never actually released. Regardless, Del Rey published the first 8 volumes of the original manga, and Kodansha Comics has picked up from there.

Viz has released the entire run of the Lovely Complex manga, as well as its live action movie spinoff.

In the near future, Mangagamer will release the original Ef - A Fairy Tale of the Two visual novel. It's still a work in progress and a few months from being done. Expect it to be sold in two downloadable packages (First Tale and Latter Tale).

The only authorized release of Denno Coil has been through iTunes. It's available there under the title Cyber Coil. But I have no idea if it would be available on iTunes Canada, UK, etc.

Finally, I don't think any company has ever stated plans to localize Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora or Minami-ke. (Not enough action, attractive characters, or opportunities for merchandise? I dunno.)
