Whoa! Heartless there.....

I did not know him personally, I did not care about him. He is just another person who has helped push forward humanity a bit more. Many more will come.

You made too much of an effort to state a negative opinion, you knew the outcome of what people would say if you said that,

It's just people are no longer people when they can talk on an internet forum.

Even though I never owned any Apple product and never plan on it I credit him with the creation of so many new technologies. Of course, he didn't create those technologies, but under him he rallied people to be the leader in all the latest gadgets. I commend him greatly for that.

Smart Phones: iPhone was the first to bring about the revolution of what we today call the cellular phone.

Music: iPod was the first to be able to digitally store over 1,000 songs and recall them at any time as well as be pocket size, an improvement on the one disc large CD player and Walkman of the old.

Computers: Steve Jobs is credited with the design of modern computers GUI. The amazing looks and designs are all his ideas. Did he implement them? No. He did inspire them and his teams of Apple created them. He was the genius behind it. Bill Gates "took" this idea and made it affordable for the home computer. If Steve Jobs didn't take that one class would we instead be looking at a command window like the older generation computers?

Mini-Computers: Again, Steve Jobs team at Apple created the first design for the hand-held computer. Something that is not quite pocket sized, but it does have all the functions of a normal home computer that was pretty cheap. Especially now, you can get one pretty cheap.

No one can say he was not a genius, he at the age of 20 created this amazing company that changed the technology of our entire world. I'm 22 and I can't come close to that. No average person could create a company like that on a whim or idea. He had a goal, a aspiration to be great. In ten years he was the CEO of one of the top companies in the entire world. Now, I am a Windows fan, but without the Macintosh would the Windows be what it is today? Maybe, maybe not. Steve Jobs did come up with the unique idea first though. Bill Gates is a genius software idealist, were as Steve Jobs is a genius design and concept idealist.

Who's Steve Jobs? And, honestly, even if I did know who he was, I don't really care that he's dead.

Oh, man, I just barely noticed that you quoted me. Aww, thanks for the encouragement. I have all those qualities except for the genius part.

Too true. I did know what would happen. Maybe I didn't have to state it so negatively or even post at all; but I really really don't have it in me to grieve or even care a little bit, when a famous/influential person dies.

Actually, I will shed a tear when Clint Eastwood dies.
