I liked the anime! Even though it goes pretty fast and everything that did happen in game isn't showed, it's still really nice. Luckily most of the things from game were kept (the soundtrack, the day-changing thingie..)

I'm waiting for the next episodes, especially waiting to see Naoto and Romi Paku's performance.

I have played the game and really liked the first episode. I think they did a good job of cutting the basic story set up from 2+ hours in the game to about 23 minutes. I am looking forward to the rest of the show, it will be interesting to see how they fit the game into 24 (or is it 26 my memory fails me) episodes.

One word: EPIC!

I felt the pace was too fast and the adaption feels more like a game than watching an actual show.
Then there was the main character - we don't get to learn much about him and when he summoned his Persona, his personality changed. Would had been better if we knew how he truly was like...

Despite that, I still enjoyed the first episode... I guess.

In a bit of a fight with myself here. Still deciding to watch it now or wait (I feel like dusting off my ps2 and replaying it).

I never played the games, but the show hooked me pretty quickly. Visuals are great, and it gives a really awesome but eery feeling.

Only complaint (and this is me really being nit picky) is the slight white gradient on everyone's faces.

It's alright... but I think the water drop is a little too big on the characters. They skipped some casual conversation and a bit content from the game though. IMO first episode should emphasize on the suspense of the murder though.

On restropect ,

I agree that the murders should have gotten more of the emphasis in the first episode . The emphasis was more on Yu and his transfer to this town, however they could have slowed it down and have him start noticing the dream, the gossip and the news in the television and about the midnight TV that the classmates were talking about. It is as if they didn't know how to write this first episode on first person perspective ,in this case it s Yu's as he see and hear whats around him ...they just followed the order of the game play.

They could have ended the episode this way 1. when they fell into inside the TV set in the store and seeing the TV world inside 2. when his persona apprears.

I thought it was pretty good, though i do agree that the murders and the backstory to them where not as emphasized as they should have been. And am I the only one that thinks its odd the the Anime Network's stream comes out a day before Hulu's, and they use an embedded Hulu video?

mmm maybe they want us to go to their website first ....

Anyway ....

i watched the anime again and I paid more attention on Yu and when i did that i noticed, he hardly say anything and he is more of the observer and then I felt I was playing the game as Yu . So they didnt exactly adapt this into a conventional fisrt person perspective of an anime protagonist character but more of the game.

So lets see how they will develop his character because right now I dont feel anything strong from the protagonist from the way they wrote his parts.
Although I am excited to see this anime version, I am afraid it might fail to develop the characters personality and become shallow.

I hope I am wrong.

Sorry minna san... I am analyzing this too much...
