Going to use this topic for discussion considering the other one is missing the "no" from the title and is marked for moderation anyway. :P
First of all, some information from the light novels. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide It seems that the anime left out a ton of development on Yuji's character from the LNs. Yuji in the LN tended to act a bit more violent at some points and was very angry at the entire situation he was in. The anime rolled with it a bit in his training where he was very impatient and wanted to continue to get stronger. This was because, as seen here in the episode, he wanted the strength to "change the world" and rid Flame Hazes from their "curse". This pretty much means that he was getting strong to turn Shana back into a normal teenage girl, and that this was heavily foreshadowed in the LN when he was talking to his more "dark side", which as we now know is the Silver. This should clear up any misunderstandings about the first episode. For most, this will seem like it came out of left field (the whole Yuji doing a heel-face-turn), but that is because the anime decided to go with filler to promote other characters, and completely skipping over the development of Yuji himself. Second, holy crap at the OP and ED. They are both amazing, and I cannot wait til the 2nd half where we are introduced to an amazing Kawada Mami song. |

I am a little bit confused though the last episode of season 2 they had beaten bal mask the night he was supposed to meet shana or kazumi depending on which one he chose and in that episdoe there is no mention of him leaving the last scene if of hima nd shana standing in front of a pile of rubble and now in the first episode of season 3 they are saying he left that night either i am missing something really big or i am just very confused!

Nothing is true, everything is permitted.

Yuji seems to be taking the approach of "I must destroy the world in order to fix it."
sometimes that's a workable plan, but I think his perceptions maybe a little asque thanks to Silver. |

JC Staff is doing a good job with this so far, animation is fluid and nothing seriously wrong with the plot either. Let's hope they continue to be faithful to the LN's and not butchering this one. Still, I liked the Shanghai Outlaw woman, shame she went down like some "monster of the week"...

NicoNico.com has announced they are going to have it, but as of yet do not even have it listed on their website with a start date. The only other sites that have it currently would be fansub sites, and it is a violation of forum rules to post those. |

No matter how I see it, it's not going to end well... a Disappointing end to a potential Ok series.
J.C. Staff's cycle; 1st season - Good, original, storyline and characters relatively well developed. 2nd season - Ok. Getting old, random fillers, wasted character development, random storyline developments. 3rd season - Terrible. Old and boring. Storyline and characters not developed, storyline not coherent, or not true to the original. Anticlimaxes, disappointing endings. Now onto the actual topic, Shana has followed the pattern so far. And yeah, they tossed out pretty much all of the characterisation on Yuji between season 2 - 3. And in that space of time, HOW THE HELL did Yuji grow such a *@#$ ponytail and start wearing such terrible clothes.... Although that's not really JC staffs fault. It's so bad that they should finish the series by, 1. Having Shana fight with Yuji 2. Shana cuts off Yuji's ponytail 3. Yuji blacks out 4. Waking up, he explains that the ponytail was a contraption made by Bel Mask to control him. 5. GOOD END. ...joking. But really, what is with that ponytail... |

Staff has hired the author of the light novels to oversee the production. It's going to be as legit as possible. It's used for battle maneuvers, but it more-or-less just serves as a symbolic representation of his merging with the "God of Creation." animewatcher311 wrote: I am a little bit confused though the last episode of season 2 they had beaten bal mask the night he was supposed to meet shana or kazumi depending on which one he chose and in that episdoe there is no mention of him leaving the last scene if of hima nd shana standing in front of a pile of rubble and now in the first episode of season 3 they are saying he left that night either i am missing something really big or i am just very confused! At the end of the last episode in season 2 - after Yuuji got back the Reigi Maigo from Bal Masque - Yuuji headed out to make his choice between the two girls. The episode cuts off with Shana looking towards "something" - presumed to be Yuuji -, and smiles in excitement/happiness. It's a cliffhanger. The first episode of season 3 actually shows that it was, in fact, Yuuji, but that he disappears in front of Shana when someone passes by. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide As for other questions pertaining to Yuuji's state of mind throughout all of this, be advised that he is completely sane and under control of his actions. There is no brainwashing going on by Bal Masque. |

Have yet to watch it. Still finishing up the first two seasons. It would be a spoiler if I watch season 3 without watching seasons 1 and 2.
